    125MPH on the clock

My CBR650R was 8.03 % higher indicated that actual and my Ducati panigale V2 manual states it’s 8%! I think you will find the 10% figure is what level of accuracy is required in the construction and use regs which predate ABS and fairly accurate speed measurement (rubber wear will always affect...

    125MPH on the clock

I feel sure this was on a German Autobahn, in know mine was when I maxed the CBR650R (2021) was from memory the 148MPH was an actual 137MPH so the indicates speed was 8.03% higher than the indicated! So 100 indicated would beb91.7 mph real! Interestingly my Ducati Panigale V2 manual actually...

CB650F Shifting issue from 1st gear to 2nd

You can get neutral by mistake on any bike, my number of bikes is only three but my Suzuki 125, Honda CBR650R and even my Ducati Panigale V2 do it! It’s normally the same cause and normally changing 2:1 or 1:2 and it’s normally because you don’t remember to press hard with your toes and move the...

All 650's What did you do with your 650 today?

Honda plus points. Way cheaper! Way more comfortable Great looking bike! Reliable as sin Awesome first big bike with all the power you need (except when chasing my ex BSB racer son on his V4 panigale on an Autobahn) Ductati V2 Negatives Expensive (in comparison) Much more wristy and legs...

All 650's What did you do with your 650 today?

Certainly doesn’t need one! Did 6,000 miles on mine last year including days on Autobahns doing over 100 mph and often maxing it at 148 mph indicated every time my son went to stomp on a fast car with his Ducati V4S and never had the slightest instability! Then hustled it round the Austrian alps...

All 650's What did you do with your 650 today?

Did just over 6,000 miles on the 650 having bought it at a bargain price £6750 with on 224 miles on it! The bike has been flawless, had its 600 mile service and nothing else required. Tail tidy, Quickshifter and tinted screen for mods. She ran for a week at high speed chasing a Ducati V4S up to...

All 650's What did you do with your 650 today?

Slightly (but only very slightly) sad to say I part ex’d my first big bike in for a Sexy Italian model on Saturday. So my 21 plate CBR650R which I have enjoyed enormously has gone and a Shiny 2022 525 mile Ducati Panigale V2 has replaced her in my heart and Garage. There is an excellent 21 plate...

    All 650Rs Quickshifter Opinions

Ducati V2 Panigale QS (up/down) is smooth as silk at pretty much any engine speed, 21 CBR650R is OK lower down but definitely easier and slicker at med/high rpm. So your spot on in your post!

    All 650Rs Quickshifter Opinions

No it doesn’t. The switch in the OEM Quickshifter and the h aftermarket ones only cut the ignition when you click the shifter UP, there is no down switch so it can’t cut it going down. Up Down are known as Quickshifter/blippers have separate up / down switches (or strain gauges) and Quickshift...

    Used 2019 cbr650 track bike?

Just looked up the front fork cartridge kit fitted to your bike! That’s $1,500 of extras right there! So not quite stock! No Quickshifter thought which I think is a quick relatively cheap DIY mod, lots of YouTube vids showing you how! Here’s the link for your front fork cartridges …...

    Used 2019 cbr650 track bike?

My year old 6250 mile UK CBR650R doesn’t smell particularly of un-burnt petrol (gas to you) but if it hasn’t been used for a while the bike might richen the amount injected if their was any delay in fuel getting through to the cylinders. TBH I would only worry about the track miles if the...

All 650's This is what happens when you forget to tighten your drain plug!

Ouch he may be loaded but it’s still gotta hurt! Begs the question who was playing with drain plugs at 1,000 miles ? Other than a dealer of first service?

    All 650Rs Quickshifter washer??? Help!?!

Not really definite as mine is a 2021 model year bike but the Honda Quickshifter I fitted myself which I guess is probably the same part used on the 2019 bikes definitely doesn’t have a washer there! Picture for reference.
