All 650Rs Quickshifter washer??? Help!?!

I'm installing the Honda quickshifter on my 2019 CB650R. Step 21 shows a washer that I am supposed to "reuse." I'm confused though because when I removed the gear change pedal there was no washer present. I went to the local Honda dealer today to purchase the washer (thinking someone screwed up when they were assembling my bike) and the parts catalog/diagram doesn't show a washer is supposed to be there. So, where is this "reusable" washer coming from? See attached pic.

If they do not have it in the diagram at the dealer it probably never was implemented. Maybe someone with an R can look at their bike for clarification.

I'm pretty sure it was there during the install of my one. I beleive it was a treated steel washer. I'll take a look today.

Hi just checked my r model 2019 with a honda quick shifter fitted and no washer between the arm and mount, the bolt does not tighten on the arm only through the centre of the arm and onto the mountain flange, so the gear shift arm has no presseue on it and allows rotaional movement hope that helps

Interestingly I checked my other bike, it's a yamaha mt03 and that has a washer. Seems like a standard setup that honda seems to have changed?

If you watch a honda quick shifter being fitted on you tube the 3 i have watched none of them had a washer fitted and just checked my instruction that came with the shifter no washer is seen between the piviot bolt and the flange , so aslong as he piviot bolt tighten to the spec tourqe and the pedel is free and no biding at willbe ok

Not really definite as mine is a 2021 model year bike but the Honda Quickshifter I fitted myself which I guess is probably the same part used on the 2019 bikes definitely doesn’t have a washer there!
