No mine hasn't the lights apparently cos its the race rep and it keeps the weight down ,
Personally I love this helmet I have four helmets and this is the quietest out off them all

My current helmet doesn't have a PinLock compatible visor, so that in itself was worth the purchase!

Yeah I saw that, and it's the PinLock 70 which I am happy with!! No more fogging up!

It's recessed so fits perfectly,
I have the dark smoke and iridium red visor with dark smoke anti fog insert,
Only time I lift my visor is to put helmet on or off
Again good choice

I'm not in mood to share this until now, but shit happens, so here it is what happened two monts ago



This is the result of a front collision of my face on the cabin of a very small truck (Piaggio Porter) that cut my way as if i didn't exist, I've had no time for braking, a simply hit with the front fork and my body attached to the bar at circa 50 km/h

Sadly i can assure that the shoei NXR did the job i paid for, fortunately I haven't reported major damage to my person, no break bones, only a big muscle contracture at the back (hope i translated the right medical terms 😅)

And yes, the bike is not to trash away, it's waiting for new components and fully refound by insurance, next helmet NXR 2 i think, i like the scanner graphics

I tried out the Shark helmet for the first time this morning. I noticed a fair amount more wind noise through the visor. Is this normal? I did take the visor off to fit the PinLock, but putting it back on was really simple. It's almost like the visor doesn't seal properly?

I recently decided to bit the bullet and go for the top spec Arai, since they fit my head shape and I really prefer their approach on “safety vs features”.

So RX-7V EVO IoM TT 2022, next to the 2-year old Renegade-V which now belongs to the Mrs. The difference between the two is quite significant

That's what I've been using.... mostly happy with it but wondering if I should go up to a Shoei next season.

Interested in Helmet recommendations, and anyone else's experience with Arai Helmets?
I bought an Arai Quantic and I have been sorely disappointed with it if I am honest, purchased the Arai as I was under the impression they were good quality, and I must say it is very comfortable, but the Quality of construction is a bit naff in my opinion. Both brow vents broke away from the visor within 6 months, I replaced them, only for them to break again (twice), the chin vent cracked, and then the spoiler began to peel away. After some investigation I was made aware of the 5-year warranty, so returned it for a repair. The first repair took over 6 weeks and when I got it back the brow vent broke when I opened the Visor, and the spoiler had already started peeling away again, so I returned it again and have just got it back. The Spoiler is again beginning to separate already, have I just got a bad one, or are these just overpriced and not very good?
Looking to get a new Helmet now as I have given up on this one ever being right, would be interested to hear any recommendations for a quality Helmet, but no Arai’s Please!

I'm using a Shoei NXR for 3 years and 30kkm, absolutly fine.
I washed already the interior padding. Everything is still perfect. Nothing broke, paint is still perfect.
It's a simplistic helmet and due to that it is very light and confortable. I'm using a tinted visor in summer, as sun here is strong, also perfect.
I have a metalic grey. If I need a new helmet it will be the sucessor NXR2 in basalt grey or white.

Just bought month ago the full carbon nitro helmet very lightweight construction seems really nice build quality and £250 bargain!
Gets a high safety rating aswell and comes with two visors
