Most of the time i ride on mountain road, so there is sun and shadow and i prefer the medium smoke, when i ride with sun in front for me is enough, but if you think you're in need of a more dark shade go try them at a dealer in a sunny day
Maybe you can think about aftermarket item like reflective visors or in other colors, there's a lot of products on the market, there's also the photochromic / self-tinting visors but they're pretty expensive

I've switched exclusively to tinted visors. I mostly ride during the day but what I did to handle night riding was swap out the tinted drop down lens for a clear one- and in the event that I have to ride at night I just raise my main visor and drop the internal one down for eye protection.
I went with the dark smoke visor on mine, and absolutely love it. I sometimes use the internal visor but usually when I'm stopped at lights etc to avoid overheating/fogging up. I wouldn't use the smoke visor at night, but I'm rarely out on the bike in the dark.

Just got my NXR light smoke visor. I'm happy with the solution. Enough to deal with sun and permissive enough to use at sunset, where I was struggling with the sunglasses + pinlock visor + mosquitos.
I didn´t tested it at night, don´t expect much except for short city tours.

What I usd till my son bought me a Shoei X-Spirit 3
Such a nice boy looking after his old Dads head!
HJC was a good safe and relatively cheap helmet and is a good choice for the money but the Shoei is awesome but pricy! You get what you pay for (unless someone buys it as a present)
Shoei X-Spirit 3 as my son wouldn’t have his dad in anything he wouldn’t wear himself (Ex BSB Racer).
Beats the hell out of the HJC I bought for my 125cc GSX-S.
Comfortable, light, well ventilated, neutral aero so no forces when you do lifesavers and packed with features EQRS, multi density foam etc.
Loving it.

I just bought one too, it was the only colour on sale but its nice. Maybe going to get the micro ratchet changed to dd lock

Ryan of FortNine YouTube channel did some tests and the old double D ring design proved the best at keeping the helmet in place on your head effectively being stronger than the strap which isn’t weak!
Well worth a watch.

I'm not worried about the safety, i'm sure Shoei has given it many thoughts 😌 The strap presses on my adam's apple a bit and thinking if changing would help.

I have a K5 and completely agree! The internal one has just a touch too little tint to be useful in any situation

My helmet (sadly) does not have a pinlock option, so I went for the adhesive Oxford anti-fog visor insert. It's an absolute game changer!!!!
Easy to fit and works an absolute treat!!! Zero fogging!! Even on a 4 degree morning!! 🥶
