it all depends on your riding style and bike the helmet is great for what it was designed for but when you ride 140-160 kph on average ear plugs are a must no meter the helmet but for a more up right bike i would not recommend it because off it aerodynamic characteristics.
( from my own experience its very un comfortable on upright naked bike)
When I bought mine, I was looking for the rpha 11 also, and the seller told me exactly that, for cb upright position, just have the rpha 70.
Also it has a retractable sun visor which the 11 didn't have...

HJC RPHA 11 comfortable looks good love it but i think it would be quieter to ride without a helmet (; (yes i wear ear plugs)

Love my RPHA! Have you thought of different ear plugs?

I said it before and I'll say it again, there are NO "Quiet" helmets...only "Quieter" helmets! But there ARE different and better ear plugs.

I do love it i will soon replace it with the same one in a different color because mine is 5 years old but my rpha 10 was much quieter or my ears ware much less sensitive (;
i use 3m orange ear plugs any suggestions?

Wind noise ,buffeting depends on a lot of things, screens being a particular problem, but following other vehicles creates turbulence so you are not riding in 'clean air'. I suffer from ear wax causing muffled hearing or sometimes near deafness in my left ear so am using softish foam rubber earplugs at the moment hoping they won't compress the wax to make it hard. Microsuction and olive oil drops are the current recommended treatments .

I used to be a Bell fanboy for a number of years. This is an example of why I switched over to Arai.

This helmet was run over by another motorcycle in a race and the wearer sustained no head injury. Good factory tour info here.

I had an Arai that cracked in an accident. I hit a rock hard and it would have killed me except for the helmet. I couldn't afford another Arai at the time so I went for a Kabuto Aero Blade 5 after reading reviews saying it was quiet. It wasn't, among other things it whistled when riding with the visor up. I recently came upon a good deal on a new Aarai RX-7V Vinales which though a little heavier than the Kabuto, is more comfortable, quiet and I dare say safer.

I really love the look of the Bell Eliminator but I couldn't get it to fit my head... I am so disappointed in myself. Currently interested in the Shoei Glamster and Arai Rapide. Does anyone else know any retro/modern motorcycle helmets? I'm not a big fan of the Bandit series and already have a Biltwell Lanesplitter.

Biltwell may have something you are looking for in that retro/modern look. Can't speak to the brand though.

One thing I recently found that would be helpful for those that know their head shape, or even just a brand/model that fits them well. Lidpicker has this chart showing most full face helmets and their relative shape. Useful data for that next helmet search.

It has the helmet mount for the DJI osmo action
Planning on getting the SC10UA intercom, it can be installed inside te helmet

Looking forward to test Arai Rapide Neo.
Will test it as soon as I find one in a local bike store.

From what I saw at some YT reviews, it's a "retro" made right ;)

Getting back into riding and replaced my ancient Scorpion Exo-700 with a new Arai Defiant-X with the dark purple graphics. Looks great with the red bike in the sun! Super comfy and easy to wear sunglasses with, but unfortunately right out of the box it has a loud high-pitched whistle above 30mph. Did not expect issues like that on a helmet of its level...sad.
I am having the same issue with the whistle after 30 MPH. I tried 2 different helmets that I have with no change I think it might have to do with my height and how the wind hits the helmet. Were you able to find a solution to it?

I have a variant of that helmet. How is yours for wind noise? Mine is pretty loud. I had it sent back to the manufacturer for inspection but they found nothing wrong with it. Must be my head shape, I guess!!
Apart from that I love it.
Mine has actually been really quiet. It fits my head shape well. That said, my other helmets were always cheap and loud so maybe an unfair comparison to say this is quiet.
