How does it vent? I find myself riding with visor cracked open to first click. Looks like this has better ventilation. Did you ever get your levers?

Got it today and did a short test ride, it seems to be open enough to let the head breathe
I personally did not feel a huge difference when the top vent is closed or open
One thing that I noticed, it seems louder than the Schuberth
Tomorrow I’ll ride a little more and maybe do a comparison in between the Schuberth C3 and Exo R1
Got the short MZS levers and definitely a huge difference, especially on the clutch, not sure if the lever itself has a different shape, but when releasing the clutch is smoother, before the engine was snatching a bit

Scorpion EXO T1200 matte black freeway. Scorpions have always been the most comfortable lids on my melon. It’s not the lightest (or the heaviest), but it’s fairly quiet and pretty well ventilated. I got a cheap 3/4 HJC when I got the Monkey, but I went right back to the Scorpion full-face once I got back on something that moves at more ‘normal’ speeds. When this one finally wears out, I’ll be looking for something as close to it as possible.

I have been told you should change a helmet after no more than 5 years because the plastic deteriorates ! Not sure how true this is.

I've heard the same but it looks and feels ok.
I have also heard that the better constructed helmets last a lot longer than 5 years.
I hope I don't find out the hard way...lol

I have helmets over 5 years old, I can't bring myself to throw them out. My helmets are usually in the £100 range but it would be a dear job having to replace these £400 or so helmets every few years !

I use 2 HJC helmets. The CS-15 with the matt black finish is just for going to work and back (5 min each way) and the IS-Max 2 is for touring as it has a flip up design that's comfortable year round.

Currently have two Arai helmets 1. Quantum-J and 2. Rapide IR - Japan models as the internal shape is more round than North American models. I had the RX-Q which was North Americas most round model and still hurt my head after an hour. Next helmet consideration would be the Arai Rapide Neo Concept X elsewhere in the world) since I know the Japanese model fits me best but lack of vents is a bit of turn off. I'd love to get the Shoei Glamster but probably more intermediate oval shape since it's only out in Europe and UK at the moment.

Does anyone wear an Arai Corsair-x CB red with a red CB650R?
Does the colour match well?
If not will look at black bike and either black or grey Arai CB as possible combination.
Or go with aluminum silver...

What are your thoughts?

I currently wear an AGV Horizon. Much better than my old Icon. Better airflow when needed. The chin curtain makes a decent difference in keeping air out. And I'll never buy another helmet without a retractable sun visor. LOVE it.

I have the new HJC i10 & it is wonderful. A bit noisy though, but that's what you get for helmets that aren't of premium pricing.

have always been a fan of shoei. Have the gt air II, along with the sena srl II headset. Helmets are the one piece of gear I never second guess spending on. And the ease of the custom fit sena is great. Plus I love having a drop down sun visor
