Hi All,
I have a 2015 CBR650F which needs a bit of work,
The Calipers seem a bit sticky and the front discs are down to the limit.
How difficult is it to change the Discs & Pads on the front yourself & also change the Caliper seals, etc
I don't have much maintenance experience yet but I'm...
Hi folks,
I have a 2016 CBR650F that has been sitting in the home's garage untouched, on a trickle charger since mid August 2018. I was out of the country and came back not long ago. I want to get back on it and have some fun but I don't know where to start considering all that time the bike...
Service Interval
I am at ~15,100 miles and I missed the replacement interval for the air cleaner and I am coming up on the spark plug replacement interval so I decided I should probably just change them both right now (since I am doing other maintained/mod installs right now as well).
I have...
2019 CBR650R 3780 miles
NO mods to anything...factory exhaust, electrical and engine
Maintenance done: numerous chain cleans/adjusts/lubes, tire pressures checked, oil level checked often, just 1 oil and filter change at the 600 mile requirement, minor adjustments to accel & clutch cables...
Hi,
I am happy to confess I don’t ride in poor weather. However I was caught out last week and the bike got filthy. After giving it a good clean I noticed that the chain had some initial rust spots. Very minor which I have cleaned off.
But I noticed how much chain lube had been flicking...
I will be taking my bike in for the first 600 mile service. I've quoted several places and they all come in at ~$250USD. From what I understand this includes oil change, chain service, and other general items. I'm a new rider and this is the first bike I've ever had serviced. Just wondering...
Hi All,
What products do people use to keep their bikes clean - I've just ordered a few Muc-off products! They've got a few good bundles on offer atm. Would be good to know what everyone else uses too!

I’m looking to replace my chain and sprockets but can’t seem to find the length I need anywhere. Can anyone advise on how many links the bike is? Or what I’d need.
TIA
So BMW announced back in august a free maintenance chain
And recently found the article on Regina Website
What do you guys think?
Is it that true? maybe would do very good on street oriented bikes? and less good on off road bikes?
They Claim to be free cleaning, but a good cleaning would still...
I was at Honda service centre yesterday for my first service for 1000Km and it is same dealer from whom I bought my bike.
Everything went fine, but when I arrived at home and parked my bike I saw some oil drops on the floor. Then I kept small container under the drain bolt and saw some oil leak...
Hi All
I bought my first bike after passing my test a couple of weeks ago.
I've been told my first service is due between 600-1000miles which I've just booked it in but I've go to wait a few weeks. I'm on 550 miles now.
Firstly - do I have to go to a Honda dealer for this service. The wait time...
Hi, I have been storing my 2017 Honda CB 650F ABS since July. Is it good practise to turn the engine on once in a while and let it run? I have heard conflicting advice, so wondering what you guys think. (I am not near it to be able to take it for a ride myself);
Hello, now autumn is here I'm thinking about what to do with my cb650 in preparation for winter.
I still plan to ride it occasionally, although obviously less frequently than in the summer. Some questions then:
Winter protection - I've heard about ACF50. Is this the best stuff to use for...
I bought my bike in late July. And, for reasons we all know, I haven't been getting out on the roads nearly as much as normal. Suddenly, its October, and almost the end of the riding season. And I've still only got about 350 miles. I'm worried I may not have the time to put another 250 miles on...
As @GPJake has so graciously allowed, an introduction to my carburetor services is called for. Huh? Carb services? Of course, this does not directly apply to CB/CBR generation FI bikes. However, multiple bike owners of various older, carbed generations, brands and models may be present here on...
I found this thing on Amazon the other day and picked one up. It actually works like advertised! (-I know, right?) It was around $50 cad, and was great for chain maintenance. Good for wheel cleaning too. Cheers!
I was wondering if anyone knew if these oil bottles were still sold somewhere:
I used to have one like this. Someone on ebay called it a "banjo oiler" but I'm not sure of the proper name.
It has a brass neck and nozzle that you twist to close.
Hi all. I’m looking to trade my Triumph street twin for a CB650R. I have seen one at a dealers for a reasonable price however it only has 450 miles on it. The dealers is 80 miles away from me so realistically if I was to buy the bike and ride it home it would be almost ready for its first / 600...
Gentlemen.
I've swapped from my trusty old 05 SV650S to the 2019 CBR650R, with about 12k on it.
Picking it up on thursday, wanted to ask what kinda maintenance I should expect to do (besides oil/filters) due to its mileage?
I got my wife a CBR500R last year and now we've got matching bikes...
