Messed around with my headlight again, now on a 5 3/4” one. Having tried 3 options, here are some pros/cons:

OEM:
+ very good looks
+ easily adjustable
+ no messing with connections

- Very low intensity, potentially dangerous low beam at night

7” bucket, Morimoto Super7
+ Excellent intensity and beam pattern (mled 2.0 even better)
+ Can replace internals if broken
- Tight fit with led driver, cable cutting
- Relatively messy adjustment
- Allien looks, not matching the rest of the bike

5 3/4” bucket, reflector, led H4 bulb
+ Smaller bucket fits nice and looks very nice imho
+ Beam pattern is good, with some experimenting - osram ledriving H4 was not so good, Philips Ultinon Pro9000 is near perfect. Intensity is pretty adequate
- Relatively messy adjustment
- Bulbs not road legal in some countries

Just a few pics from my North Wales Snowdonia 360 trip last week, 1350 miles in 4 days, road were brilliant and the backdrop is just amazing.
Looks like an awesome time and lovely scenery, thanks for sharing the pics.

Meanwhile, in Colorado:

We got a lot of heavy wet snow this past weekend. Reminded me why I don't drain the anti-freeze out of my bike until the end of May. April track days are cheaper, but the risk of freezing temps is higher for a daily rider like me until Memorial Day comes around.

So with the bike laid up in the garage I finally got around to installing the new rotors:

I'll have a full write-up on them in a separate post after I hit the track next week. Assuming we're finally done with the snow around here.

That rotor look badass.. look forward to know the dimension vs stock and performance in your next review.. thanks
By the way that MICHELIN POWER CUP looks awesome.. give us a review too.. might consider trying after my Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP1&2 V3

Did my first track day on Monday at Donington Park - cracking day and safe to say I’m addicted already and have the next one booked in! Need some higher rearsets though as dragging the stock ones already! Any recommendations would be great.6DE78023-8D77-4284-9640-898C8D0BDF21.jpeg

Someone was making plates that move the rearsets up and back, i thought. Otherwise a suggestion I’ll make is to buy a good set from a popular racing company because you’ll then have a paddock full of spares if you go down.

I’ll also suggest working on your body position to keep the bike more upright and hanging off more, that will be your biggest, best and cheapest way to avoid dragging the pegs.

Enjoy the new addiction :)

Thought I'd try out a headlight guard I saw on Amazon. I like the look of it, and it's one of the only ones I've found that is actually fitted to the bike as opposed to a flat wire generic grille or something that requires permanent modification to the headlight. Fitment isn't great but once tightened up everything feels really firm. At least my flyscreen hides the defects.
mcphatty, what flyscreen is that, I like it!

Fitted "Rippa Grips" to my F...makes a huge difference. Less vibration and they feel good in hand. I have quite large hands, so the extra (minimal) bulk they add to the OEM grip is really nice.

Super easy to fit, and they stay put!!

Two hole spray cans of chain cleaner and a lot of baby wipes 😂😂😂😂
By the way, I use Putoline Drytec Race chainlub. This stuff is amazing keeps your chain dry, clean and lubricated. So no sticky chain 😁😁
Awesome, thanks very much!! I've got some of the Penrite Factory Racing chain lube, which also seems to be really sticky and zero 'fling'.
