Thought I'd make a place for people to easily share any recent activities they've enjoyed (or not) with their Honda 650. Most other owner forums have a similar thread, and now we have one too. It doesn't have to be a special accomplishment. In fact, the mundane aspects of enjoying your bike tend to be the most relatable for others, so share what you did with your bike today!

To get the ball rolling, I completed my first oil and filter change today. This is my first motorcycle with a spin-on oil filter, and the mounting made it super easy to swap. Glad no fairings have to be removed to complete it. I also cleaned and lubed the chain. I'm trying out DuPont's chain guard for the first time. It has good reviews and is inexpensive, so I thought I'd give it a shot. So far, I can only say it isn't nearly as tacky as the Maxima chain wax.
Just a short ride today down some local twisty back roads. Loved the way the bike corners and the way it accelerates on the straights especiall flicking up the gears with the new Quickshifter!
Just loving the bike! My first Big bike CBR650R in Red ✅

Had my first ride of the season with my Son (Ex BSB rider) me on the first big bike CBR650R and him on his Shiny brand new zero mile Ducati V4S.
Covered 340 miles riding to his 3 hrs following him around and and riding home afterwards.
Absolutely brilliant riding and after he followed me round for a bit a huge compliment that he loved seeing how much my riding has improved since last autumn 👍 moving around on the bike looking through corners where I’m going etc.
Awesome day 😃

How come it was a pain? Was it a full system? looks like it kept the headers ?
How’s it sound?
It was the full system, those are the Akrapovic headers. Taking off, and putting on the fairings is a bear.. getting access to the header bolts wasn’t easy. I took the db killer out today though, it’s loud!

Nice tape, where did you get it from? I was thinking of yellow, to kind of offset the rear spring

Installed mud guard removing the oem piece and installed integrated taillights and footpeg indicators to clean up the back end

Anyone on here with a blacked out CB650R at H Café today? Came back to it parked beside mine but couldn't see an obvious owner. The black-out looked 👌

Finally gave the girl a good and proper cleaning. I've been using the Honda wash and wax stuff throughout the winter and spring to keep the bike looking good, but today I finally dragged out the hose and washed the bike, followed with a few coats of synthetic xpress wax. Cleaning the undercarriage from all the rain and snow mess that piled up through the winter was a priority, and after a nice coating of SC1, along with cleaning and lubing the chain, the bike's back to looking new.

Then I went on a nice ride, and ended up out east in the high plains of Colorado. I hardly ever go out that way because the roads are mostly flat and boring, but they're also not crowded. Saw some deer, some antelope, some 100+ mph runs on deserted roads, before eventually stopping next to a ranch on the way back home for a shot with Pikes Peak in the background.

You might notice the clouds in the distance. It's natural law that even in severe drought (like we have now), if you wash your bike and take it for a ride, rain will come. It eventually caught me close to home and drenched me in my totally not waterproof mesh jacket, and I was happy for the moisture and proud to do my part to calm the fire danger and bring liquid nourishment to the land. Just means I need to wash it again tomorrow.

Thought I'd try out a headlight guard I saw on Amazon. I like the look of it, and it's one of the only ones I've found that is actually fitted to the bike as opposed to a flat wire generic grille or something that requires permanent modification to the headlight. Fitment isn't great but once tightened up everything feels really firm. At least my flyscreen hides the defects.

Nothing like washing/ waxing your bike / car. It’s a true labor of love
