another little bit of taste from the dragon, from the front view this time, went the following weekend as well
made a little mistake on mounting the camera and the mounting is not hidden in the stitch line, next time won't happen 😅

Really jealous about the weather there, what a nice day to ride the dragon. Love those 3D camera action 👍

Lately weather has been amazing and we were very lucky for both weekends
The second weekend was super busy, there was a line of over a mile going up to deal's gap at a certain time of the day 😅
These cameras are amazing, all of my friends are bragging about it 😂

48 000 kms maintenance ahead, I have changed brake pads (new one are EBC HH) and oil/oil filter (I use a 6.90€/2L local 10w40 oil). I dropped the bike this morning to my mechanic for the valves check, air filter and spark plugs. I still don't have the tool to do the spark plugs and I didn't wanted to remove the tank just to change the air filter.
Done the valve check on the 500F, never again 😂

Implemented a workaround for fitting bar-end mirrors on my CB650R.
The known issue is that the stock inner weights rotate freely in the handle bar, so I drilled a 4mm diameter hole on the steering and inner weight and placed a 4mm screw (removed the head) in order to block relative movement (the screw is flush with the handlebar, the photo just shows the concept)
I also trimmed the weight end, in order to be totally flat and then screwed a mixed mirror set, with puig bar-end weights and barracuda mirrors, staying solidly in their position.

Seems like a solution but maybe it’s better to use a scrub screw (easier to remove later if you need). And second, are the inner weights not designed to rotate freely to counteract any vibrations? Just asking myself if your solution isn’t an issue. Keep us updated 👍

Bagster tank bag - it's arrived at last. 4 weeks as it was made to order from Germany. Just need some heat now to help it take shape.

Nice! I’m looking at Mivv right now on eBay. I’m shocked to see how affordable it is, almost half the price of Akrapovic. Any idea why so cheap? Which model you get? How’s the sound? With/without baffle/cat? Did you tune it? Any performance gains as they claim? Thanks in advance

I've got the GP Pro in carbon fiber without a cat, and for the most part, I love it. I think it's a bit cheaper because it doesn't have as nice as fit and finish as some of the other brands. Where the stock exhaust has nice even bends across all four pipes, the Mivv exhausts don't line up quite as nicely. Everything fits fine on the bike, just doesn't look as refined. The pipes are also brushed stainless steel, whereas many other brands have a nicer finish to them. Sound is excellent- personally I like the sound better without the baffle. It has a deeper tone that way and really screams when you get on it. I didn't go with a tune, the bike seems to respond just fine without it. No pops on downshifting or anything of that sort. I can only gauge performance by the butt dyno- but it felt like it really woke the bike up. Front tire will start to lift if I'm too aggressive on acceleration, where it didnt do that before.

I got the Racing line (titanium)
s-h6r14-hegeht. The fit and finish are of a high quality. Sound with db is too tame for me and without db, way to loud (really beautiful but too loud). So I modified my db killer (shortened) and now it’s perfect, a nice deep rumble at idle and a not too loud scream at 6000+ rpm. I don’t use the cat! Performance wise, the bike did open up a bit, but I don’t have any numbers. I don’t run a tune (not necessary) the bike is running perfect. The only thing I noticed is that my bike is a little bit thirstier. The reason I bought this Akra! sound, looks and quality. The oem exhaust is beautiful but in my opinion not the best quality! And the sound compared with the Akra is a day and night improvement.

worth doing? can you summerize your expirience with it after you installed them comapred to stock? 👍
I found the stock front underdamped from the very beginning. I was never a fan of progressive spings so to me the change was worth and the below is subjective. It's in the top 3 changes under good tires and fueling (pair valve and remap).

The pluses:
predictable when soaking small bumps and road irregularities;
low speed countersteering is lighter and the bike is more flickable;
more planted in corners.
I also noticed that I can be less smooth with on/off throttle and engine breaking without upsetting the suspension.

The minuses:
bigger bumps and potholes totally upset the bike making it "jumpy";
countersteering seems heavier at 140+ kph.

Didn't get the chance to test flickabilility at high speeds.
