Yes, first chain replaced.
It´s the first time I see an ACEA A3/B4 oil being at the same time JASO MA certified!!! Always learning ;-)

Yes Autodoc does sell this oil, I use it for my commuter bikes as I need a lot of changes a year around.

Around 3 changes for my Yamaha MT-03 2cyl, 1change on my CB650F and 1 change on my Yamaha R1 . That is 10L a year just changing.

JASO MA2 is better than MA as it is lower ash better for the whole exhaust/catalyst system.

The damn spending money on a new bike virus has infected me again. Today I pulled the trigger and bought a new bike for the stable. After riding several times on KTM bikes and lately on the Super Duke 1290. I decided to have a more serious look at the KTM dealer. Although the 1290 is a fantastic bike to ride, i honestly don’t need the power that it has and i don’t want to spend so much money on another bike. So I went with the more sharper, lighter, smaller and cheaper version and bought the KTM 890 Duke R. I got it for a good deal and several extras such as some powerparts and the complete tech pack, and I love the blue and orange color scheme. Now let’s hope it starts up every time I want to ride it and it doesn’t fall apart during the ride 🤣🤣🤣. PS are there other members that own a KTM and know a good forum just like this one??

It will be ready for pickup next week. It still needs to be registered, the radiator guard and front spoiler are on order. wish list for next year is an Akra or SC exhaust, bar end mirrors, crash protection, and maybe a tail tidy. When I get the bike next week and the weather is favorable, I'll take some pictures.
Ps, if you dress it up the cost is the same as a 1290 standard 🥴🥴

Mine is coming with the full tech pack and some additional accessories (power parts), but you need to be careful with KTM, Before you know it the price tag will be very high 🥴. And we pay extra tax (bpm) Tax for Passenger Cars and Motor Vehicles.

We have an "illegal" tax that penalize us for buying vehicles outside of our country even in eu member states. It's actually quite questionable and possible illegal I'm surprised with all the strict eu rules they make us follow this one is ignored. Anyway I cannot purchase a new bike outside of my country the cost would be to much to make it road legal. But can you buy new outside of holland? Maybe buy it in ireland for example?

Yes we can, but new bikes will be more expensive. I prefer to buy new so it’s not an option for me. If you want it to buy cheaper the bike must be at least 6 months old and 3750 miles on the odometer. Correct me fellow countrymen if I’m wrong.

Today was the day, finally my 890 R was ready for pick up. The wait was due to the ordering of the power parts. So nice to have a 2 cylinder in the stable again (actually I love all engine configurations). The light weight in combination with the power in the low and mid rpm’s is great in this bike. Had to be gentle with the throttle because this bike is hungry for speed, and the power cup 2 tires are semi slicks 😬. Brakes are fantastic and fully adjustable. Here she is in all her glory.

It's nice! And it looks so dainty and compact. Lovely job.

Did it come from the shop with that cable tie/strap on the front for stantcions? Did you ride it yet? If so looks like the front could be adjust a bit? 😀

Edit: actually on closer look the end of the compression range doesent appear to be where I first thought it was. Ignore pls

Yes it looks and is really compact, next to the cb650r it looks compact 🤣. yes I drove it, luckily it was a couple of hours dry this morning. The fork Stroke rings are standard on the WP suspension (after the ride I pushed them up) .The engine is really powerful and hungry for more and more, the Brembo Stylema calipers doing a amazing job. The feel is perfect. The fully adjustable suspension is great, still in the standard setting but you immediately feel that you are dealing with premium components.

Hi Guys, quick question about removing the warning sticker on my matte finish paint tank. What’s the best way to remove the sticker without damaging the matte paint ?

Hi Goblin
I've always used a hair dryer for decal removals but if it's been lacquered over I'd leave it alone
