Today I rode about 100 miles. Decided to do some back roads and then took a turn on some unknown streets! Why not, nothing else to do! And getting lost isn't a problem as I have nowhere to be at any time!!!

Also used up half a bottle of gear oil trying to get my Nemo chain oiler to work correctly. I'm doing EVERYTHING the video says to do and the thing just keeps draining as soon as I put the oil in. I even took it apart, cleaned it, replaced both O-rings...still not working. When it was working it's been awesome!

I may just go with one of those Tutoro oilers from here on in. More expensive but out of all the oilers the Tutoro seems to be the most liked. Either way, you can't beat these things (when the work) as cleaning and lubing every few hundred miles is a PITA!

I have a Scottoiler ,with single tube dispenser, but you still need to clean the chain periodically ( and apply oil to the outer side of the inner links at least to stop them rusting ) ps I had a new Honda chain and sprockets fitted only a few weeks ago and the rear sprocket is already tarnished !

I'm not one for making sure my chain looks good, especially with an oiler. That stuff gets ugly! I do clean the chain after a 1,000 miles though. Cleaning and lubing with the spray used to be every 300-500 miles!

Today I dismantled the entire oiler. Found a new O-ring I didn't see yesterday. Unfortunately, I don't have the right size for a replacement so I just cleaned it off, cleaned all the components again, reinstalled and I think it's working again! I tried a practice run and it dripped for a while then stopped totally, which is what I needed it to do.

Time will tell if it holds up.

The thing with Scottoiler is the chain is getting oil all the time so it can't be bad.

Scottoil is also designed to fling off and keep the chain clean continuously too.

A well adjusted oiler will have a chain doing 20k+ miles and have little to no rust on it without making the bike look like it's taken an oil bath.

Personal experience of over 20 years with an oiler.

The Nemo I have does a good job and I've definitely noticed how nice and lubed my chain is. This has been my first chain oiler as I've always cleaned and lubed with the spray.
That said, my chain is oil-dirty, if that makes sense. But I don't care about that. What I HAVE noticed is after 8K miles there are no kinks or tight spots. The chain is nice and loose between the links. I've rarely had that on all of my other bikes!!!

Rode out to Bayshore and it was PACKED with boaters!!! Hardly a place to park your truck and trailer, people were parked off the road side from the parking lot.

And motorcycles...lots of them on the way there and back. Many people are out riding. Not in packs, for the most part.

Saw these in the water and have no idea what kind of fish they are!

Brought the bike yesterday to the dealer for a oil leak. Today I picked up the bike, they replaced the rubber o ring of the water pump and changed the oil.

Brought the bike today back to the dealer! The O- ring is again leaking ☹️ I hope, I can pick the bike up tomorrow
