After a mishap (not mine, I promise!) I need to replace the foot peg on the right side of the bike - essentially part number 12 here has snapped off (and see pic):

Do you replace the whole assembly, as Babbits just...
Interesting comment about the power on the Bike article - 85bhp feels like what I’d expect at the wheel (and what is likely to get pumped out on a dyno), whilst manufacturer claims are obviously at the crank.
Lack of clarity about the difference makes me worry about the journalism - either the...
If the bike rides true, your forks aren't leaking, there's no (unusual) vibration at any particular speed, there's no undue wobbling of headstock, and your brakes work fine - then I think you're all good. You may have bottomed out the front suspension (fairly hard), but that's not the end of the...
I'd be surprised if you'd warped the head to be honest - takes more than a coolant overpressure/eruption to do that. Chances are it'll be fine - doesn't make the experience and service any less atrocious though!
The BT-023s are a great choice. I know a guy who has them on his S1000R (not RR) and is regularly up at the front of the fast group on track days. So don’t worry about them not being sporty enough - and most of the time we’re more likely to need a tyre to handle rain and cold temps than ultimate...
Miweber is right - you do adjust to whatever power you have and then consider that to be a minimum :) One of the benefits of extra power for the road is that it tends to come with more torque - which makes overtaking easier and safer. Same thing with seeing situations unfolding in front of you...
Nice work Vector :) The CBR650R is going to have a top speed higher than the F due to the clever ram air system it’s got - at high speeds it generates an extra 5hp. The Honda engineers generally regard it as a 100bhp bike - so more than 10% more than a stock F, and still more than you’ll get...
I think you may have taken my point the wrong way. 100% agree that a power commander by itself has marginal absolute gains, the benefit mostly comes from rideability.
I was referring to the original question of ‘how much better does a bike feel with a tune?’.
To which my experience the tune...
