Took my bike out for possibly the last ride of the season this afternoon!
Unfortunately rain in the forecast now everyday for the following week and beyond!
Had a great run out for a good hour or so. Came home, gave her a quick wipe over and put her to bed. IMG_20190921_163704.jpgIMG_20190805_211552.jpg

Hi Goblin
Yeah, don't have a garage unfortunately. Really pleased with my new Oxford Stormex cover though. Far superior to my previous R&G one.
Kept my Duke 390 outside all through last winter. Was amazed how well it looked when the cover came off!
Cheers

I took her out for the first time this year :) .....looking at the weather possibly the last too :(
I've always wanted to visit the UK, but on every motorcycle forum I've ever been on, it becomes clear from all the UK bikers that the weather there must really suck for 10 months of the year. But hey, at least lane splitting is legal and you guys have more than one color option for your 650's!

Gorgeous weather here in central Florida, albeit windy. Got out today for some errands, one to the dealership for some oil and filter. Perfect temperatures today for riding so I took the long way to my various places! One bad thing...love bugs all over the place! And once they splat on your face shield...forget about it!!!

Plan to go out for a longer ride tomorrow! And all week is supposed to be nice so it's riding to work this week!!!

Yeah, those of us that commute all year round have to put up with some crappy weather at times, including contending with a bikes worst enemy, gritted roads!

I spent close to two hours getting red specs of paint off my bike following an incident with a sharp and heavy object falling on a can of spray paint, puncturing the can sending a mist up in the air.

That.... SUCKS. Did you use something like Goof-Off to get it clean? How'd it turn out?

Took her yesterday out for a 3 hour drive! The weather was really nice, sunshine no clouds and about 20 degrees celsius. Today going out for the last time I think, they forecast a beautiful day (autumn is kicking in up coming week) lots of rain ☹️ Maybe the winter is giving some nice sunny days 😁 until that time she’s kept in the garage/barn warm and dry next to my other bike

Sweet Lord!!! What are the chances of that happening?!?!

Then again, maybe it added a cool-looking, tie-dye type of scheme to the bike! (Always try to find a positive! )

They got off fairly easily but there was so many of them. A clean rag, mineral spirits, a finger nail and a lot of patience. Then to give a good rince and wash the whole bike, wax the painted parts. I am sure I will keep finding little red specs in the future, which I hope will be taken off easily. 🙄 The weird stuff that happens in my life I tell ya.

Was caught in a proper downpour today. First time riding the thing in the wet and boy those stock Dunlop’s are not nearly as good as in the dry. Even had a pretty scary power slide but thankfully the TC prevented worse.
Will Switch to new rubbers first thing next season I but I am afraid today was more or less the last outing here in rainy Berlin.

Went for an awesome early morning ride. Perfect weather and almost no traffic, with the passing lane clear for miles, so I let her rip. I actually had some head shake/speed wobble occur at one point which really surprised me. I think it was just a combination of speed and mediocre tires. I was doing about 118mph at the time.

This afternoon I washed and detailed the bike, cleaned and lubed the chain, and topped off the tire pressures. They were both about 5psi low. I LOVE the right angle valve stems Honda included on this bike. I've never used them before, and now I have a strong appreciation for how much more convenient they are than standard valve stems. Nice touch, Honda.

took advantage of dreary, lousy weather today to perform a periodic, minor "service session"

*check, adjust tire pressures
*check engine oil (level remains stable since the 600 mile change)
*check chain tension (within spec)
*clean, lube chain
*clean using Honda spray polish and microfiber cloths
*install Speedo Angel brand instrument panel protective cover

1900 miles and no issues whatsoever

My bike's up for an oil/filter replacement. I'm looking for the right moment to do this. The bad thing is I need good enough weather for it because I have no garage or enclosed space to work on the bike so if it's raining or too cold to be comfortable, it's not gonna happen
And you know, if the weather's good, I'd rather be sitting on the bike riding it than sitting next to it dicking around with nasty oil.
