What is wrong with you guys? The dog ran across the road, not came up from behind me.This is

why i hate dogs, also chickens, which i hit so many i could open up my own KFC and be rich. Also old

people walking across the road very slowly[,no i haven't hit any]the list goes on but buffalo shit would be on the top

of the list.It is so slippery and hard to see until you hit it.So yes ,hitting top speed over here has many risks.

With a stock CBR i reached 230 km/h in 5th gear last autumn in Germany (measured on its own speedometer, didn't have visibility on the GPS in that racing position). Was somewhat dissapointed, but only later realised i had one more gear :banghead:
Never had any other opportunities since then and it does get kinda scary after 200 km/h

the CBR must be geared differently to my CB, no way it does 230 in 5th lol.

According to the data in the CB650F owner's manual (which I read from an online copy) it is geared in 6th gear to do 140.8mph at 11,000rpm (peak power), which is about 225kph. In 5th gear it's geared for 128.7mph or 207kph. So allowing for an over-reading speedo and going past 11,000rpm I can believe that it is possible to see 230kph on the speedo in 5th gear.

Just wondering what the top speed you guys have reached on a non lams Cbr650f is... mine (lams) max’s out at 206klmph curious to see the power difference
My 2018 cb650f all stock with just k&n air filter doesn't go more than 210km so I don't know how you guys pull out those numbers 235km/h or 250km/h thats its the cbr600rr top speed.....

I've hit 127mph on a long straight. Stock gearing. PCV with full system exhaust.

keep in mind I'm 6'4 and weigh 220lb though.

I've managed to get my 2018 CB650F up to 135 mph. That's maxing out 5th gear, and a little bit in 6th. She really has no power in 6th gear at those speeds. Acceleration is very low. My effective top speed is where 5th maxes out. There's no point to playing with 6th if I'm honest. Yes, that was the speedometer's indicated speed, but I have a speedohealer and have tested it against a GPS several times. It's within 1 mph at all times.

I'm umm also 6'4" and weigh 220 lbs. Yep. Definitely not 5'9" and 225. No sir, not me.

Seriously, how often do you think you’d be taking this or any other bike to its top speed? Years and years ago I took my VFR800 to a buck-and-a-quarter once just to see if I could, and that was that. Now, at my age, my adventures in the triple digits are long behind me. All I care about now is how quick it goes from 40 to whatever to get around the SMV’s in front of me. :D

That's pretty fast and an acceptable maximum speed for the 650 ,and well above the maximum speed limit on our roads ( which I don't exceed of course )
That's also well above the speed limits of US roads. It's a very rare occasion when I get the bike over 85 mph. I do have to admit that I feel the temptation in certain parts of west Texas, and the plains of the mid-west. Those interstate roads can be long, straight, and easily visible sometimes. Where I am now, in Amish County, 50 mph is hard to hit. I do like the curvy, hilly roads though.
