Power Commander with the right tune and a Yoshimura full exhaust 136 mph no problem in Pennsylvania

133mph(214kph) on the speedo of my CB mk2, and she didn't want to go any faster. Stock bike with a stocky bloke lying flat on the tank. Had a medium sized back pack on and I have no idea what the wind was doing at the time. The fairing on the cbr must a big difference at that kind of speed because I was really having to hang on.
I have a phone mount now so I'll give it a try with the GPS to see how big the discrepancy is.

The fairings on the cbr after 100mph do really help alot but you have to pick your day with zero cross- winds.
I only tested my bike once,and it was a great day with no cross-winds and no traffic on the road [very rear].They are
resurfacing the road so i might try it again with my termignoni exhaust on. I am sure i can do better than 232kmh.

I have been several times to 135 miles / hour and there was quite a bit left to twist, but I chickened out.

It makes it all the more impressive to think the MotoGP guys reach 350+ km/h on a bit of track like Mugello's long straight.
edit: and brake back down to like 90km/h for turn 1 :O
Well today was the day for a test,no cross-winds,road just re-surfaced and my termignoni exhaust on. Well i hit
250km/h than i slowed down.I had a little bit left but not much.With my stock exhaust all i could get was 232km/h.
A good exhaust makes a big difference in top speed with stock sprockets.

Hit an indicated 142mph at the end of the straight at Bedford Autodrome, on a stock 2017 CBR (still accelerating before having to jump hard on the brakes). Went back following week after fitting Akrapovic full system and saw 144mph. Assume previous corner exit speed was similar. Probably had only a handful of mph left given enough space - the bike’s acceleration hits the wall at 140.
Anything over 120mph is surplus. At 144 mph we’re taking about “the little engine that could”.
Mighty impressive and solid proof the Cbr650f is plenty of bike for anyone!
I find my textile “relaxed fit” gear and 200lb middle age many body keep my bike limited to about 130 or so.
It is still plenty but I realize 650cc can only do so much and there’s so much more of me now that I am not 2O something anymore!

Speedos are out by 7%,so iff you see 144 on the dash that means it's 133 mph
Thanks Drewster123,you just made my day,i knew it would be out, but not by that much.I will not
be testing top speed again for a while.There are just too many dogs on my testing road.I had 1dog
hit my back wheel which made me go into a wobble and i almost lost it a few months ago.lucky for
me i was only going about120km/h at that time.Seeing that there are no dog catchers where i live
i might have to find another testing road.

You wasn't going that fast Road Hog if the dog ran into your back wheel.
