All 650Rs Engine light after ECU Flash

Gday guys. Installed my ecu yesterday afternoon after getting it flashed from Australian LAMS restrictions (A2 Restrictions in UK)

My problem is I have a check engine light now. Bike runs fine, I took it for a ride and it’s feeling amazing! Does anyone know why there would be a check engine light on?

I heard somewhere that it turns off after a couple rides and that it’s normal, but I can no longer find where I heard that discussion . If anyone can shed light on this that would be amazing

Mods:
ECU Flash, Derestricted snorkels, DNA Airfilter

Note: I am still running stock exhaust until my Austin Racing pipe arrives in the next couple weeks.

Cheers guys

You should retrieve the DTCs to determine why the MIL is on

At this time I have no way of getting the codes to determine what’s going on, I just know that I’ve heard of this happening before and want to see what experiences others have had with this

The service manual has a jumper procedure to blink codes

I would imagine it's probably something to do with your O2 sensor? When I got my Aus bike destricted (dynotuned, not flashed) - He insisted it was very necessary to do an O2 delete. Advised me that if I plugged it back it, it would probably start throwing engine lights.

If you're in WA then sing out- maybe once you've fixed it we can ride :)

Ahh yes I can imagine that would be a very good reason to why it’s happening. The place I got my ECU done didn’t tell me why it would be doing it but mentioned the 19-20 models the light will disappear after a few ride but my model the 2021 I’ll need to get a tool to clear it

might have to look into a delete.. hopefully it’s not too much of a hassle 🙏🏽 And I’d love to ride bro but I live near Wagga Wagga
