I have a full system Akrapovic exhaust, but after every ride it gets discolored like this in this part specifically, a blue discoloration. Which as of now causes no problems asides from that other people who have the same exhaust don’t experience it to this degree. It goes away when I clean it with polish but comes back after a ride. Is this normal? Did I mess anything up? Any help would be really appreciated!
That looks to be the area where the aftermarket cat goes, am I correct in the fact you have one? If so, I’d say that’s very normal.
Could be leaking from the muffler connection by the look of it.
@miweber929 mentioned. it is due to Cat getting super hot to operate properly. it will react with Titanium and create Titanium dioxide. you can polish it off.
Does yours have the catalytic converter?
Headers are Steel. Can is Ti
@Goblin has if you don’t have a cat in the pipe. To me at least, the deep blue is indicative of the super hot area, probably catalytic converter.

@habanadj have not confirmed their bike has a cat or not, or said they have other mods that would cause the bike to run exceptionally hot. My ‘14 did not look like that, though I’m pretty sure mine was a model not able to run a cat.
