Nevermore, I found thd 6p optional, what is this 8p then? It is black, in a big boot right by the frame beside the battery.
Not sure I ever found where that went. I'm wondering if it's a junction block rather than a connector. As you're there what colours are the wires?

Well now that I've figured out the connections, I need a good place to mount a Blue Sea 1039/1045 USB outlet. Any ideas? Pictures?

Here are the results of using the under-seat connector: http://www.xorro.co.uk/vehicles/honda-cbr650f/index.html#sat_nav
Hi @Zorro, just wanted to thank you and Brammers @Brammers too.
With the help and pictures from you guys, I've wired up my Oxford Heated Grips and USB port to the sumi port under the LH fairing of my CB650F and now have the parts and bike ready to wire in my Sat Nav to the sumi port under the seat. Purchased the splitter and ports from jfbspares on ebay and just waiting on delivery today of Sat Nav. UPS are useless as should have been here last week!
Even got to wire in a USB port on my partners 1200X crosstourer now!
Cheers guys.

Hello all, I just can’t find this plug! Looking under the headlight on my 2014 CB650F, from reading all through this thread I think I am looking in the right place, but even with the help of the descriptions and pictures in some posts I just can’t see it.

Can anyone offer any advice? I have the bike on an Abba stand so can easily look from either side.

So I have been looking in the wrong place? Doh!
Yeah, when you remove the left side cover, you'll see a bundle of wires toward the front of the bike. In that bundle you'll see a large plug pointing downward with nothing plugged into it. That's the auxiliary plug. The other plug you can use is the diagnostic plug right beside your battery. It has a blanking cover plugged into it. You can wire up a plug to plug into that. So that's another option. The side cover btw, is secured with three screws (all different length), two Velcro strips near the top, and one press fitting.

Not sure this forum is still being used or not (I haven't been on in years), but it's been a really long week and I am wondering if anyone can remind me how to disconnect these connectors?

I wired my GPS in years ago using the other end, and long story short someone tried to steal my bike, so I am now trying to remove the GPS mount before the bike gets towed to the dealership. I tried reaching up to separate the two ends, but for the life of me I can't feel any sort of tabs or buttons I need to press to separate the two halves. Maybe it is lack of sleep post events, but if someone could mentioned a few tips/tricks it would be appreciated.

I know this thread is old, but here's a step-by-step tutorial for people like me who have no idea about wiring stuff.
This is for the CBR650F 2014 (RC74). I'm installing an USB charger.

Required materials:

Sumitomo HM 090 connector set (my source in Germany: https://www.ebay.de/itm/144692855380)
Electrical tape

Tools:
Hex keys
Flat screwdriver
Wire stripper
Crimping tool
Wire cutter

Work steps:
  1. Unclip the left front indicator
    00.jpeg
  2. Remove the left side fairing
    01.jpeg
    02.jpeg
    03.jpeg
    04.jpeg
  3. Locate the Sumitomo connector
    05.jpeg
  4. Unclip the Sumitomo connector. I just removed the "business end", so I didn't need to deal with the brown clip that holds the dummy end in place. Use a screwdriver to lift the clip, then pull out the connector - see pic
    06.jpeg
    07.jpeg
Purple is positive (red wire), Green is ground (black wire)
  5. Cut, strip and crimp the wire to the connector: See
  6. Connect your connector to the wiring harness
    08.jpeg
  7. Optional: Wrap the connector with electrical tape or shrink tubing
  8. Attach the accessory and test it
    09.jpeg
  9. Mange your wiring - make sure to leave some slack so the wires don't overstretch or touch hot parts when turning the handlebar.

Is there an adapter that allows me to plug into the 2pin accessory port (cb650r) front left a sae connection? Specially from the quadlock usb charger

I envision something like this:

Amazon product ASIN B0022ZSBXY

So ideally quadlock sae > adapter > front left accessory port

Any help appreciated
