For those interested in other options, I chose to go for the Shifting Controll quickshifter unit from HJR Products, Cant fault it myself. and its half the price of the OEM unit at around £125ish +delivery
Thanks for the good words - this is the very product I've been flogging here. Chris at HJR is the UK distributor for Shifting ContRoll.

Just to add to this thread. I have the OEM quickshifter (fitted by the dealer as part of the sports pack when new back in September 2019) and it rarely misses a beat for me. Even short pulls it shifts well.

Having my QS fitted week after next when the bike is in for its 2nd service. Hoping I don't regret buying it! 🤞

I think it's mega based on my experience. Just get a bit higher up in the revs and it'll shift fine. You don't even need to be booting it either. As long as the revs are high it'll be pretty smooth.

Thanks Rafe. Gotta be honest, I am looking forward to getting it. Ordered mine when I bought the bike back in May last year!

Okay I’m done waiting, Honda isn’t going to deliver as promised. I also heard from a reliable source that the company that makes the Quickshifters for Honda is bankrupt!
I’m going for a alternative! Which one should I take:
The Shifting Controll quickshifter unit from HJR Products or the HealTech iQSE, that has setting options ?

By the way is the Controll quickshifter unit from HJR Products a strain-gauge or load-cell quickshifter ?

I can only suggest to you the Controll option as that's all I've had the experience of, it uses a strain gauge and works very well, i've not had any trouble shifting at all.

Honda is making me crazy! After waiting for a half year and a bunch of emails to customer service I was giving up on Honda (lost all hope) and ordered last Saturday the Controll quickshifter unit from HJR Products. Today my dealer called me (before I could call them to cancel the QS) to inform me that they received the Honda QS, ready for install 😡. Now I got two QS! Anybody interested in a QS 🤪

Yesterday my dealer installed the OEM Quickshifter. For me being an old school kinda guy, I’m used to manual shifting and it’s a little bit against my feeling/nature to shift, not using the clutch in combination with a open throttle. Can someone with QS experience me any pointers on the subject:
can I still adjust my rod linkage to lower my gear pedal to my personal liking?
And what if I manually shift, will the QS turn off automatically?

Yes, you can adjust the shift linkage. Unless I'm mistaken, clutching in overrides / blocks the QS function.

Hold the throttle wide open, and prod the shifter - enjoy!

Yes, you can adjust the lever. I’m not 100% sure how to on that bike but it is adjustable. As far as clutch shifting, once you pull the clutch in you activate the pin switch which stops the QS from activating.

I’m an old school guy myself and even though I have an up/down QS on the Duc I regular shift 98% of the time. It’s cool when you’re exiting a tight corner and can hold the throttle and bang, bang, bang 3 effortless shifts but unless you’re at a track I just don’t get the hype. Guys on the SS forum say it’s a game changer and they only use to clutch to start and stop the bike, not me.

Thanks guys for the input 👍. I just wanted to try it and experience It for my self. Today I tried the QS and it’s a strange but pleasant experience but I think I will still be shifting 80% old school. Nevertheless it’s a great gimmick and puts a smile on my face, an that’s always a good thing 😁 Tomorrow I will adjust the shift pedal a little bit lower, because I like it that way.

My shifter finally arrived yesterday here in Finland.

Installed it by myself and now I'm going to install heated grips aswell so can't go ride just yet.
