Spot on. I used this connection for my Oxford heated grips.Your mystery connection is the optional 12v switched feed (used for heated grips etc.)

Awesome please let us knowIt's finally here. Now I can finish this project. Still missing resistors due to lock down.
As suggested by MrFritz86, I'll try to run it w/o it and see if triggers a CEL.

Is it below the Air box?Does anyone know what this blue plug is for? Is this for the quick shifter?

I completed the Pair removal and only thing I did not do is the resistor as it's delayed.
This morning, I idled the bike for about 10 mins. Got up to normal operating temp and little beyond.
I did not get a CEL. I have not gotten a chance to ride it due to the weather. Can anyone confirm it will throw a CEL without the resistor?

Ride the bike and see what happens
if at idle you noticed anything odd happening, most likely the ECU doesn't need to be tricked
If riding and pushing the engine (until where the PAIR valves solenoid is supposed to open) the CEL stays off then you're fine
I don't think the ECU will realize the solenoid is not there only when is supposed to open, electronic should always warn if something is missing or faulty, but I might be wrong since I don't know how the ECU is programmed.
Nope. No need. I ran it with no res.. all goodthe conventional wisdom here is 14-16 ECMs don’t need it, 18-newer do. I left the solenoid plugged in (everything else removed). Hopefully you can confirm or deny this topic once and for all!
Nope. No need. I ran it with no res.. all good
An hour or so. I had already blocked the hose with a marble. So not much of a difference. I can confirm the buzz noise in the engine is gone. Everything worked as it should. Ride was smooth and no issues whatsoever. However it stutters for 5 sec at the start up. The main reason I did it was to get rid of noise and 500 grams of junk. It was not too hard and it was not too easy breezy thing to do. Bad news if you have big or chubby hands. Very tricky to take everything out and screw the new plates back in. Almost cried on the last screw (far left). Screws on this machine is made out of butter so watch out for them too.Nice...glad to know. How long was the ride? Feel any difference? Just curious.
I finally took out my 19 CB650R for about 20 mile ride. No engine light from the Pair Removal. I got the resistors and have yet to put'em in.
Now i'm curious who's gotten an engine light and needed the resistors.
Glad to know you do not need the resistor, you could always send it back and save some $
How was the ride? did you fell any improvements on the engine?
