This is something i'd like to do too. I noticed Ohlins global website has cartridge kit FKS 516 and rear suspension HO 913 available for the 650R, but I can't pin down a place to source from.
Where did you source your parts?
OkiCB OkiCB Glad you appreciate this upgrade. With adjustability and proper set up, it will transform your bike into a cornering machine.. :D

I was fortune that my country has an authorised Ohlins dealer. I got mine installed at Honda Bigwing. You may check the Ohlins global website for the nearest dealer for stock availability and assistance.

The rear suspension HO 913 for CBR650R seem to be available in ebay but not the cartridge kit FKS 516. Be sure that rear suspension HO 913 has a piggy back for compression and rebound adjust ability (not sure why the one shown in Ohlins website does not have it).

The cartridge kit needs
- a very specific spring to cater for your weight i.e. 60kg 70kg 80 kg 90kg 100kg and its sold separately. Quite costly as a total package.
- Ohlins fluid too (01309-01 for my CBR650F).

Take note that maintenance is required
- the cartridge kit just needs to change the fork oil every - manual recommendation 20,000km.
- the rear suspension needs to be sent back to be serviced by Ohlins - manual recommendation 30,000km. Quite costly.

Overall if money is not an issue, I highly recommend this upgrade. For me, this is the only bike I own for the next 5-7 years, yes its worth every dime spent!!! :D

Like you I made a few mods. but the two that made a big difference was my Termignoni full carbon exhaust and my bikers fully adjustable rearset. The exhaust has a deep base sound and the rearset fits my foot perfectly and makes shifting a complete joy.

In the US you can try Ohlins direct, otherwise Hard Racing, Sportbike Track Gear and I think Revzilla all do Ohlins. You can also try your local race/suspension shop who should be the ones you’ll have install it; since Ohlins is like Apple where they have set prices it doesn’t matter really where you buy it from.

So say Hard Racing does a discount, it’s basically discount everywhere else. Black Friday will probably be the next sale. I usually just call Ohlins service, talk to Jerry and order my parts from him.

Hi - just wondered if you did any other mods when installing the exhaust? Aftermarket air filter or ecu map? Thanks Luke

Luke, I made a few other changes like the levers brake and clutch to adjustable. Also, I changed my mirrors to a cbr250r mirror which gives an extra 1 1/2 inches extension and they just screw in. One more a tail tidy, everything else is stock no mapping or changing to A.M. air filters. I have had my bike new since 2014 and it's been great, I hope your bike gives you the pleasures that mine has given me all these years. Good luck and happy trails.

Can you post a picture of your mirrors?
Also, what year of CBR250R?

Bc.Rob, If you really want to see how it looks, go to your Honda Dealer and ask for a 2011 cbr250r mirror set I think the mirror will be the same for a few years onward, and try one on. It will take 3 minutes, I would send you a picture but my bike is with a friend
