All 650Rs TERMIGNOMI EXHAUST - Who's in the know?

After making the decision to buy an Akrapovic system for my CB650R, I came across a picture of the Termignomi below. I've not seen one before, nor can I find anything on the forum about them, but I would like to know if anyone has one fitted or has past experience with a system as I'm tempted to get myself one over the Akra. I think it looks much better without all the springs holding it together.

Any help appreciated.

My friend @Chen Wetta has installed it on his CB650R and honestly it looks great. IMO I don't fancy the sound as much but it does still sound great and moves away from the ever so popular Akra. I will have him write something up about the install and thoughts on the exhaust since he's had it for a while.

I reckon it’s the best looking exhaust for it, I’ve had it since pretty much owning the bike and it sounds amazing, not too raspy just a nice loud clean sound, but not as loud where it will annoy you for long free way use or using it daily, the look for the pipes is clean and if you do buy it, just gotta use some anti seize on the joints since there is no springs holding it in place, but the fit is so well made there is no move meant or anything

I have the system for my CBR650F but yet to get it installed. It is a de-cat system does anyone have any experience of adding the system and an aftermarket air filter? Did it run ok without needing to re-map the ecu?

Tons of info around here on aftermarket filters and exhausts and all say the same thing: bike runs fine without a tuning device.

An aftermarket air filter is an unneeded item unless you want the ability to clean it rather than replace it. The OEM air filter is not a bottleneck in performance snd flows as well, if not better, than most aftermarket filters.

Yeah deeper and louder but not too loud with the DB killer in. Definitely worth the money and a bit different to the Acrapovic that most put on these bikes

Had to take the exhaust off and refit with new gaskets, back on now though and DB killer out. Will try get another video if anyone wants to hear it.

I have been riding with my Termignoni exhaust DB killer out since 2014. At that time I tried to tell many on how good it was but most had their minds on other exhaust at the time. After all these years I think it was my best choice and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I don’t remember there being anyone who said it wasn’t a good pipe, or a bad choice, but instead most liked how “stock” the Akra looked and fit compared to it. I think because not many ran out and bought one after you suggested it you took it as something done to be purposely against that opinion. That's not the case.

Termi makes a great pipe, and is one of the best in the business. Personally, I think their designs lately are leaving something to be desired and look very thrown together or add on. Almost like the people that slap fart cans on a hacked up exhaust. But lately Akrapovic has been having some QC issues it seems and I’m not sure I would recommend them as quickly as I have in the past.

I have had mine for over 5 years now and I am very happy with it. I do prefer to ride with the baffle out but the police are cracking down on loud exhaust no matter how good they sound

Well, can't really judge the quality and sound based on the looks, but what I can definitely say is, this exhaust is super close to the ground. Compared to Akra or other brands, it has a very narrow ground clearance!

No problems whatsoever, even on a track.
