been quite awhile......find myself doing some non-bike carbs.....Strombergs off a firetruck (yes you read that correctly)..... and a 1971 MG with SU carbset. Cheers!

I've purposely lengthened the timeframe of my "wet test" on EX250 and EX500 carb sets to approx 1 1/2 to 2 hours. If the fuel height remains unchanged, the (new) float valve to (carefully cleaned/polished) seat surface is, in fact, sealing perfectly. This goes well beyond instant leaking check (upon hookup), though that still applies.
Note...fuel supplied from gravity fed container from above, float drain screws opened, revealing actual fuel levels (which can be further adjusted as needed)
