$3k? That's insane. It means you'd have paid the new price of your entire bike once over in three years. I'd just skip the full coverage and only insure for liability.

$78 year through Progressive with USAA partner discount. 250/500/100 liability and 200mi roadside. The only other coverage I wanted was UMI, and in Colorado it goes with the driver not the vehicle, so I already have it with my auto policy. If I wanted to add comp or collision, it was around $600/yr altogether, but I don't think that coverage is worthwhile for me.

Dang I feel it so expensive my rates compared to you guys. Geico wanted 2.8k for a year, progressive wanted 4.2k, and my insurance is 1.5k. 300/500/300, 100 comprehensive. I am 37 with one major accident with injury. I hope my rates go down

USD $1600 / GBP 1300 a year in the UK for me.

I pay $418CAD for my cbr. $2mil Comprehensive, 500 deductible, and $4k for gear and accessories. On the other hand my cbr costs $661 a year for registration. Still not bad compared to a CBR600/1000 that would cost $1535 for registration alone.
THAT pricing is insane, I pay just under $400/yr full coverage for a 2017 Ducati Supersport and under $180/yr full coverage for a 2011 Triumph Sprint GT 1050!
See it’s all relative? Insurance has far too many variables for anyone to truly make an apples to apples compare to anyone else, even if you’re the same age, even if you’re in the same area and even if it’s the same bike.
Though I do agree P @Pekingduck is paying a crazy amount for insurance.

Some of these prices are crazy! Saying that when I was 17 I paid 2k a year TPFT on a 3k Ford Fiesta!

Damn, I even bundle it to.... it could be because of my area of California Los Angeles. I think it mainly because of my accident
£1350 for a year for me fully comprehensive with Lexham Insurance, £1300 Excess but I paid an extra £80 on my premium to get refunded if I do crash, fault or not. 1st year riding anything over 125cc, three years' car experience, one accident in January this year in the car (£7000 damage). I live in a low-crime area, 5000 miles py, SDP&C.
I hope to god that I don't have to claim this year and my insurance next year is sub-£1000!

Little less than 950€ full coverage in France (Paris area) for a CBR650R. I'm 26 with 0.76 bonus ratio (maybe a French thing). It covers 2000€ of equipments and 3000€ of gearing.
My guess is that differences between countries is mainly due to the coverage and risks. It's IMHO hard to compare without full information.
A little bit off topic but for me a Ducati Supersport S would cost 2400€ per year. 😅
