I’m just wandering if anyone has heard both of these exhausts or compared them in any way? I know most people have heard the Akro but I’d like to know how it compares to the CS Racing for sound and build quality..
Dont confuse the CS with the SC slip on..

I can get the full CS system for about $400 cheaper than the full Akro but my priority is on sound then looks with price last..If they sound similar I would go for the cheaper system but if there’s a decent difference I would definitely pay more for the better sound..and I know sound is subjective but if the general consensus is that one is deeper etc I will have to go off that..living in a rural area in Australia means you can’t compare things like this..
So any info on the CS system would be appreciated..

Thanks

There is a ongoing exhaust thread on this forum, maybe you can find there your answers. There is a good exhaust comparison video in that thread. But I believe the CS Racing isn’t in the video. I have found a video of a CS exhaust and it sounds good. I took a quick look at the CS racing website, I honestly must say (but this is my first impression and opinion) the website looks a bit non professional and there sales story is not convincing, but that said I’m no expert on there stuff and maybe it is a fine product, other guys can tell you probably more!

The CS system was one of the first ones available for the 650F when it was released. It’s loud even with the baffle, and falls on the “raspy” side of exhaust notes. It’s also OK build quality, welds are clean but it’s not built to a super high standard. Also it didn’t seem to help power at all, but it’s been forever since I’ve seen any data.

The conclusion with bike parts is always is: you get what you pay for. Akra has a premium due to its name, however it’s built to be beautiful as well as functional. They’ve made mistakes, shipped wrong parts, incorrect bolts, etc. at times but immediately fixed the issue.

There were a number of videos on YouTube when the exhaust was first released. Might try there.

Thanks for the replies..
I have checked the exhaust thread but there was very little about the CS in there..I was really hoping that someone has heard and seen both in person as YouTube videos can be very deceiving..different quality cameras or microphones and bikes sound different on a Dyno in a closed room compared to the open road etc..

The comment about the CS sounding raspy is concerning as that’s the exact thing I’m trying to avoid! I prefer a deep smooth sound..

I might go the safe option and but the Akro, it would of been nice to have something a little different and I like the look of the CS, it looks almost factory with that guard on it..

Most of the information on them was on the old, now defunct forum since they were so early in the game. Be sure to look for 650F videos as well.

If you look at the design there’s not really a “muffler” to it, more of a collection box for the headers. That’s what makes it raspy and loud.

Not a fan of how the Termignoni looks..

So I decided to bite the bullet and just go with a Akropovic, called the local Honda to order as they gave me the best price I could find a couple of weeks ago but now the price has gone up %11 which makes it $1630. How could it possibly go up that much in a few weeks is a mystery. It was already overpriced at $1470 I thought but now it’s laughable at $1630..
