ongoing '96 ST1100 "bring back from the dead" service. Owner an older local guy, bike dormant a couple years. The usual dead battery, clogged circuits, whacked adjustments in carbs. Oil/filter, fluids, tires. Found/repaired a vac leak affecting the LH bank (both cylinders) possibly explaining the odd adjustments....someone trying to compensate for vac leak? ....resulting in synch set way off. Also corrected modded float adjustments resulting in way high fuel levels....evidence of carbon and sludge in intakes. We need to make this thing burn clean again!
Now starting at touch of button, stable idle, nice response to throttle....V4 is quite smooth.
Should be complete, ready to ride away in a day or 2. Like an SUV, absurd weight. Just front tire change to complete....it then needs a real long ride to get the cobwebs out.

So this has been keeping me occupied (so far) during "shutdown".

Aim straight and keep that right elbow tucked in on your back-swing. Picture the club head coming down inside of the ball, and let 'er rip as you make contact and follow through. -was the advice that helped me out... Cheers!

Oh, it's that easy?!?! 😂 😂 😂

I was actually hitting them nice and straight after a few swings. Surprised even me as I've more or less given up golf. I had to get out and do something physical so I called up a buddy and we met out at the driving range. May start it up again since the schools are closed for the rest of the year.
My problem is I think too much - always worried about elbows tucked in, back swing straight, legs bent just right, grip correct, club face, etc... I find sometimes if I just THINK in my head where I want the ball to go, and just swing, I have some amazing shots! Bottom line is consistency. If you only go golfing once every 2 years ya can't expect miracles!

But sitting behind a computer screen all day waiting on kids to submit assignments and ask questions isn't going to last for me much longer. Even bought a stand-up desk as my legs and butt start going numb after a while sitting in this office chair! (I don't know how some of you with desk jobs do it all day!)

Love the Pepsi and ice cream, so unnecessary!

Bought an M140i in November, been cleaning every square inch of it lately, don't have any pictures of that yet. Haven't forgotten the CB that was done a few weeks ago. On that note, haven't tried the Harpic I'm a bit apprehensive to use that, combination of brasso and autosol works wonders though too, particularly on the pegs.

UK members may recognise this from the FB group.

I remember your post. The rear sets look great now. Out of interest, how long does that lovely shine last?

No idea, bike hasn't moved since I did it 2 weeks ago. I'd be guessing. Still looks the same now though!

Had a bay day with bae today. Exterior job tomorrow.

My ST project completed, bike back to owner. Next up is a Holley carburetor from a 1958 Ford F100 pickup truck, purchased by an acquaintance as a non-runner. Anticipating...finding tiny model and build numbers stamped into the body, researched, ordered and received correct rebuild kit based on that info. Will be this upcoming weeks project, pic will follow.

Here another project that I’m working on with a friend of mine
Making some custom mods on his recent purchased ZRX 1100
Rebuilt the carbs, also added the dynojet kit for the new K&N filters
Waiting on the cafe racer seat so we can start cutting and weld the back side of the chassis

He’s planning on making it green again, we’re gonna try some vinyl wrap first, hopefully is gonna turn out nicely
Maybe repainting it in the future

You have an Exige S! That's top notch. I've always been fond of them, and they were always a consideration for me when looking for my next track toy car. I love the color, the stripe graphics, and even the wing on yours. Fantastic!

i don’t know that guy, I have the 70 Boss 302, my next door neighbor Mike has the 2012. My daughters boyfriend filmed it with her Nikon SLR and then edited it. When I told him we wanted video of burnouts he lined up the camera with the front tire and said “ready”. I just looked at Mike, smiled and told him he may want to move to the back of the car instead to get a better shot 🤓

Ha! My Bad, I went to the 54:40 mark, not 55:40.

I like your Boss, too. My buddy has a 67 fastback. It had a 289 and I helped him with his built 302 swap. Sounds mean, but it needs a paint job. I actually looked at the 2012 Boss, just as I looked at the new GT's with IRS, as a track car. They're too heavy for my taste (if my fondness for the Elise didn't give that away), but I'm a car guy at heart and love anything that someone has put their love into. Nice ride!
