When we want to check the engine oil in which position should we keep the CB650? Should we use the stand or keep it upright? Thanks.

Its been 3 month i bought cbr 650r 2022 and rode for 2300 kms. This morning i notice slight leakage at right side of engine top, see below pic. Should i need to worry about this? Please suggest.
