Hello all,
This is my first time posting here so apologies if I mess something up in the post.
The bike is a 2016 CBR650F with ~23,000 miles with an akrapovic exhaust, besides that I believe it is stock. I got the bike this spring and went about 500 miles before having any issues.
My issue is...
Hello everyone! Today I attempted to install some evo1 foldable aftermarket levers on my 2022 CBR650R was going all well and good until I was unable to get the sleeve/bush out of the old lever to transfer into the aftermarket evo1s. so I was wondering if anyone knew the size of the bush/sleeve...
Is there any way to remove the clutch basket with hand tools or is it best to borrow a rattle gun? Thanks
(My shift lever is not returning to centre and I need to fit a new spring or work out what is wrong. Either way it's all covered by the clutch basket)
Dear all community members,
I've been a long time reader, and as I thought I had all my questions answered by the experiences of other members, I ended up in something that I haven't really found an answer for 😅 .
Recently I purchased a CB650R RH02 2022 year model, but as I am not the tallest...
I’ve noticed that when I downshift, I often times feel a ‘clicking’ sensation in the clutch lever. This only happens during downshifts. I read on some other forums that it’s normal for a slipper clutch. When I feel the click, does that mean my downshift was more precise, or more sloppy? I don’t...
Hey guys,
So pretty funny story. I had my bike (2021 CB650R) at start of the season maitanance at mechanic. And this guy is only one who can give me stamp into service book.
But sadly he is godawfull mechanic. Dude tighten my clutch lever with almost 0 freeplay about 1 or 2 mm... And he was...
Hello.
Thought I'd get the view of the forum whilst I sit at the side of the road waiting on the RAC. Was out on my bike with zero issues when it refused to shift out of 4th - either up or down. Engine was running fine.
Clutch seams to be ok as if I pull it in I can move the bike backwards...
Hey Everyone!
Just picked up a 2019 cb650r last week and have put over 400kms on it since! I’m wondering what my options are for changing the clutch grab point on this bike, I came from a ktm 390 where the clutch grabs decently low, and sometimes ride my friends 790 duke where it also grabs...
Hello all,
I have already searched 10+ search pages of different threads looking for this part.
I cannot find it in any of the parts diagrams.
I have a 2021 CB650R, and it appears the previous owner may have bent the clutch cable guide/adjuster, and it appears the cable is coming out at an...
Hello all,
Thanks for reading this post. We are using an engine out of a 2015 CBR650F for a Formula SAE club. What is the engagement point for our transmission on our engine? We are having a hard time identifying where it should be from the outside. Even just pictures of your clutch actuator...
Hello all, I have recently purchased a 2018 CBR650F with 1400 miles on it. This is my second bike and I'm still pretty new to motorcycling. So far I've been really enjoying this machine but one of the things I'd like to improve is the clutch lever. The throw is just a bit too long for my...
There is nothing better than modifying your bike to make it more "you". Something I would love to change are the stock silver brake and clutch levers. Would be awesome if levers like the Brembo RCS radial would work, but don't even know where to start looking if the master cylinder would work...
Hi all, my 2015 650f has a noticeable rattle from the clutch.
Whilst riding with the clutch fully out I feel the vibration through my right footpeg. If I pull the clutch in ever so slightly, basically removing the play in the cable and without pulling it in like I would when shifting, then it...
Hi guys,
So it looks like I’ve fried the clutch on my bike, nothing unexpected as I’ve been doing too many burnouts😂. I’m just looking at clutch plate kits and can’t find any aftermarket ones, I’d rather upgrade it than replace for standard parts if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations?
anyone got a manual/workshop info on correct clutch plate installation on 2020 cbr650r. i seem to have a gap between last plate and pressure plate. also the last metal plate seems to float between the 2 last fibrous plates.
Hi, this bothering me since I bought the bike, not major issue but I am curious if it is normal for these bikes. Noticeable only in lower speeds, when I leave the throttle I could hear some "click" from under seat, most probably chain. Also when I press clutch sometimes, but with throttle...
Hey guys! I'm not one for short levers and I like the OEM ones. I bought my cbr650f used and it had no broken short levers and am looking to buy someone's oem ones. I'll pay you $20!
Okay, I’m sitting at 2300 miles, and up until this past week my shifting hasn’t been an issue but Monday I get on the bike, all seems well in the morning, by the evening after letting the bike warm up before my ride home, I notice there is almost no clutch feel when releasing the lever. Same on...
As per the title, I'm looking to purchase covers for my alternator, clutch and timer for my 2017 cbr650f.
I see that gb racing do them. Are any other manufacturers worth looking at before I cough up the £200?
Picture is to show exactly what m after and I'm UK based.
Cheers.
Hi All,
Quick question.......giving my bike a quick check over today.
Can I ask.....the clutch adjustment....should the free play in the lever/cable not move the actual lever on top of the clutch housing? Or should the slack mean the lever moves until you can feel the actuation on the clutch...
