Dear all community members,

I've been a long time reader, and as I thought I had all my questions answered by the experiences of other members, I ended up in something that I haven't really found an answer for 😅 .

Recently I purchased a CB650R RH02 2022 year model, but as I am not the tallest bloke of the block and since I'd like to improve my riding comfort on longer rides I decided to go ahead with getting a handlebar riser.

More specifically, I've been eyeing one of those 2:
1) https://www.louis.eu/en/raximo-hand...t-abe-10062205?filter_article_number=10062210
2) https://voigt-mt.de/VMT-Voigt-MT-Fr...-RH08-from-2019-kit-bar-mounts-inch-pull-back

Now, reading everywhere that'it'll be very tough to stretch the existing break/clutch lines to reach the new handlebar position, I decided to opt in for some break/clutch hose extensions:

And this is basically where I got stuck 😬

I'd greatly appreciate anyone's thoughts/ideas of which extensions I should purchase that'll work with the bike and as well if my thinking makes any sense or it's full of holes and caveats I haven't considered.

Thank you all in advance! 🙏

I recalled reading in this forum, do not go beyond 2 inch of height/stretch can maintain back the OEM cables. am still waiting for my riser, this morning found out it was ship by SEA ! so expecting only next week will get my hands on one. hardly any clear video in youtube on riser, but one gotta remove the headlight to gain access to the cable to unloosen the cable tie or something to that (yet to open up), when it arrives will see how it goes.

2 inch or 2 cm? Because 2 inch is alot for cables to stretch.

Believe it must not more than 2 inch. my riser just arrived today, about 1.4 inch more/higher, shall see if its able to install.
Ok, let us know if it fits. I am considering one also. I feel a light back pain after 30 min of ride so a riser could help. But what I tried was to tilt the handlebars slightly forward and it did the trick for me. Now my arms are more stretched and the back is not so bent.

I am absolutely loving it, it’s like riding an adventure bike minus off road. My backbone will thank me. Yet to ride far but very certain it would be very comfy.

Was afraid of the cables initially, tot not long enough but I sweep the handlebar left n right just to make sure all cables are not stress.

Good to know that you managed to fit it without having issues on the cables' length!

How extra distance up & front is your riser giving you?
And also does anyone know which would be the appropriate break hose/line extension for the bike?

Basically which ones from there it'd be good to order just in case:

having seen utube, one gotta remove the headlight in order to have access to all the cables. what i found out was, clutch cables attached to a holder, i lube a bit to extend it fm the holder (cant seem to know how to remove that damm thing). i removed the brake cable which is attached also to a holder(or nut). with that all extended, i park the handlebar towards me and also lift up to see if enough space to rest on riser, it sure does, rest handlebar on the tank and install the riser. torque to 27nm and voila, all done.

i might need to remove the riser again as forgot to put loctite, mine is the alibaba riser that comes with likely non stainless screw. (still trying to learn how to read a screw size to get a better quality). the slight disadvantage is when rain/wash, water likely possible retain in the riser holes/screw. now looking at some rubber stopper to plug the holes from water retaining in.

been a while in here. am back on another quest to rise more upright. I see many here going the opposite of me trying to ride upright.

Anyone here install Voight 50mm riser, if yes, do one need to change all the cables or just a few.
