Bagster rear seat problem

Hey guys!

I finally got my new Bagster seats for my CB650R 2022 and couldn’t wait to put it on and try it!

However, I just realized while installing it that the rear seat does not lock into place!

Everything is in the right position, front clamps are good, seat slides right into that locking mechanism but looks like its not going down all the way in to fully lock into place. Tried giving it a swing to push it in or push it in harder but all I have to do is lift it up lightly by the tail end and it comes right off.

Anyone has this issue before and know how to fix this?

(The stock seat fits fine)

Thanks!

My stock rear seat was tight when I purchased my bike, the mechanic had trouble removing the seat at delivery as I couldn’t do it. To lock the seat after, it took a solid fist hammer punch to lock the seat down. It has gotten easier from usage, but your new seat metal U is not compressing/closing the lock mechanism. I’m not sure how much adjustment is in the mechanism but when the seat does lock down you will hear an audible click. I know I’m restating your issue and not offering a solution but have you measured the U connectors on the bottom of the seats to see if their at least close top to bottom and side to side? I assume your stock seat isn’t giving you any issues? (I see you answered this)

I ended up filing down some of the seat’s plastic supports underneath and finally got it to fit perfectly but I was told by the seller that Bagster makes these seats extra tight to keep them from vibrating later on as they are supposed to get easier to clip on and off with time… but mine was pretty far off from clipping in the first place so not sure what happened there.

Had the same problem with mine. I gave it a good whack right over the lock using my fist like a hammer, and it finally went on!

Hi
Just beside of U-Hook, you could find a black plastic spot, which is a little higher then its surrounding, this is the problem. Find a sharp tool like a chazel or grinder to make the spot as flat as its surrounding. You will fix the problem.
