yes the QS is connected to the PCV, and the PCV is cutting fuel when actuating the QS.
I know you switched from the factory qs to the aftermarket one but I’m still curious if Honda actually ever reached out to you? I’ll most likely be changing from the factory one as well to aftermarket

No I haven’t heard anything back, but I don’t think they ever will get back to me
I’ll probably try to give them a call next month just to hear what they have to say, but again, not really expecting much from them

I’m trying to figure out if I could possibly just wire the factory qs into the pcv instead of having to spend more money on another qs. Anybody have thoughts on that?

I actually haven’t, still a 2 cables switch, who knows it might work
But atm never heard or seen anyone mentioning it or doing it

Hey everyone so I did a little experimenting with the oem qs and the pcv. I took the two wires from the qs and plugged them into the pcv where they had directed. I then enabled the qs in the power commander software and to my surprise it actually worked! So if you have the oem qs and a pcv it will definitely work together

Great to know, I actually never thought of that, but since they gave me the money back, so I wasn’t stuck with the OEM option, I went that route
I’m glad you got that thing working, I’m really curious to know and test how it works
What do you think of the feel?
Is it working out pretty good?

Great to hear for you none ABS guys that the quick shifter is working if it is connected to the PCV. Actually the quick shifter is nothing more than a on off switch and normally the ECU is doing all the work. But for the guys who don’t have a PCV and want a QS (on a none ABS bike) it’s a expansive upgrade!

It’s been working great. Honestly plug and play. It was too easy and I wish I would’ve tried this months ago.

At the risk of being too sweeping, any QS will work with the PC-V. You just have to either clip and strip the connector on the QS, or find a mating plug to make a little pigtail.

I wish I saw this thread early.

I just found out this thread after installing the QS on my 2019 non-ABS model and thinking what went wrong lol..

How disappointing.

After seeing this, I did the same, and it works.
Thank you for confirming this!

But, I realize I have to push the shift lever a lot harder for quickshifting otherwise the sensor is not triggered.
So, it's kinda upsetting the bike chassis more than clutch shifting..

I wonder if it's normal for OEM QS.

It turns out my shift rod was not equally tighten up & down.
I readjusted now it's perfect. Thanks all here !

I'm liking OEM QS + PCV more than the stock.

Hey everyone I bought the oem quickshifter for my 2019 cbr650r and the quickshifter doesn't work. I found this forum but I wanted to know if anyone found out how to make it work without the pcv

I contacted honda and they had no clue and said it had to be checked by a dealer, I called a dealership and they don't know anything about it

There is no way it works.
I had an open case with Honda, they said it’s not compatible with the non abs model and ended up giving my money back,
Honda still making mistakes without providing the right info for this!

Hello,

I was wondering if somebody did try only the Power Commander Fuel Controller on a 2019/2020 cb650r ABS version.
The main question is if the OEM quickshifter is compatible with this fuel controller in parallel. I see that the quickshifter is directly plugged in the gear sensor port of the ECU, but I am not sure if this interferes with the power commander in any way.

Thanks.
