All 650Rs STEM MOUNT (SP Connect, Quadlock,...)

Does anyone (preferably with a 650r) have experience with the SP Connect stem mount?

I am considering to buy it, but I'm not sure if I have enough clearance between the tank and the stem to turn the smarthphone.
On their websites are some picture of the mount on other sportbikes, so I think it should be fine.. but thought to ask here first.

I allready did a search on the forum but couldn't find any posts about the SP Connect stem mount.

I'm considering this mount because it's the most subtle I've seen yet and I'll only use it for my smartphones GPS on occasional longer trips..

I don't have that mount but I do have the Ultimate Addons stem mount with an iPhone 6s case (yes, ancient phone now I know). It's a big case and I am able to tilt the phone towards me for sat-nav and it clears the tank on full lock left and right when in landscape mode. It doesn't however fit in portrait to be usable and I'd need to buy the 3 inch extender. It's horribly expensive though at nearly £20 for a bit of plastic. It might also impede the view of the dash so landscape is fine for me. If I tuck in while I ride and still see the dash fine with the phone mounted.

It's a pretty big case but it does offer full protection. It's a bit of a faff because you have to take your phone out an existing case before you can mount it in the UA case. The buttons are very good though and you can easily operate your phone with your gloves on which is a nice feature.

Oh, and I bought the 17.5-20.5mm fork stem adaptor in case you need to know.

Cannot be used as is
The arm is too short to interfere with the cover in front of the tank
I bought a product for a bicycle and replaced the arm
Even this will interfere a little, so if you are worried you need to cut a little black cover in front of the tank

So based on this I did some further research and decided to go for the quadlock stem mount.

This one already has an extender and has a case that can stay on the phone permanently. The extender was the main reason I didn't like it at first, because it is less subtle than the sp connect.

Thanks again for the info, I would have ordered the SP connect otherwise because I liked how small that one is.

I'll post some pics when I received/installed the package! Might be usefull for others in the future..

So, the quadlock stem mount arrived pretty fast and is installed.
Installation is very easy and only takes about 10 minutes.
The quality seems good, and it feels really solid once installed.
The phone case also fits very well.

I'll post some pictures below.
And yes, I paid €10 extra just for the red accent. 🤷‍♂️😁. Standard is blue, there is also a black or white version.

I have exactly the same mount as @Rom89n - same bike, same color, even the same red lever. Mount is super strong and very convenient; however I didn't like the phone case (it's too thick), so I'm using the universal mount on a thin case.

I bought this but it’s plastic an not aluminum. It’s also missing the damper bracket that’s on the stem mount one. And the case is still clashing with my iPhone X

I’ve now ordered the UA stem mount to connect an sp-connect 1” adapter to my short ram extension

I could get one of their cases but haven’t found on for my phone.

The stem mount wil not fit the cb, only the cbr. You can see on the pictures in the previous posts where the phone is sitting with the stem mount. (Exactly where the handlebar is)
You should be looking at the handlebar mount or the mirror mount for the cb.

How was the installation done in the stem mount? On my older cbr I had to drill in the nut to be able to install the quadlock. Does this have like a plastic plug or something?

I have the Stem mount for the CBR650R with the anti vibration and wireles charge unit on it. My phone fits great its not blocking anything or hitting of anything when I place it in landscape or portrait.

Completletly satisfied with it.

Nice that is going to be my setup as well. How was the install? Did you need to remove the nut or does it have a plastic cover or something?
