All 650Fs Starting issues + dirty spark plugs with IXIL Hyperlow exhaust

I ride a CB650f from 2017 which has 15 000km. I have an IXIL aftermarket exhaust (without the db killer) and without an ECU flash/remapping.

I made around 6000km in last year (since I bought the bike). I started noticing some problems as time progressed...
*Exhaust pipe started to fill with black dirt/dust, which was not easy to clean off and it came back fast

*The bike wouldn't start on colder mornings, even though battery was fine and I had driven it the day before for more than 50km's. As it wasn't a battery issue, it also didn't work to try and get it going by running and releasing the clutch in 2nd gear

*I started to feel a slight loss of power in acceleration

When I went to change the rear tire, the bike wouldn't start in the garage. I told the guy working there that it wasn't a one time off and he kept the bike for a troubleshooting.

He told me the spark plugs were carbonized (black) and that a lot of the pipes were dirty, also the air filter had very black spots on the inside.
He thought the problem was a bad air-to-fuel mixture.

He has now changed the spark plugs, cleaned a lot of parts, changed the airfilter. The bike now runs as it should with the OEM exhaust back on. Later this week we will try to run the bike with the IXIL pipe on it.

1) Is this a known problem that can be caused just by changing the exhaust line? Or are there still other factors involved?

2) Can this be solved by flashing the ECU? Or is it as simple as ''Just keep riding around with the OEM exhaust''?

I don't have a lot of knowledge on mechanics and bike maintenance. So just asking what you more experienced people are thinking.. thanks in advance!

Kind of odd your plugs were black with carbon. I doubt it is the aftermarket exhaust, as if anything that should have created a leaner condition, not richer. With new plugs and air filter it runs good again, might indicate nothing; the issue may recur regardless of which exhaust, or it may point to your clogged air filter that was causing the overly rich condition. Perhaps the engine just couldn't pull enough air. Might be good to check the ignition coils if it recurs.

PS: Edit: were the plugs dry and loose black with carbon or were they oily/black? If oily, then perhaps you have a ring issue.

Do you use aftermarket air filter? If Yours bike has black spark plug i think issue came from stock air filter, not enough air to burn all the fuel injected which get worse time after time("spark plugs were carbonized (black) and that a lot of the pipes were dirty". In most case default fuel map is lean for aftermarket exhaust. In your case try to put aftermarket air filter when you put ixil back on, more air to breath better to burn.

Hello. I think you have a bad air/fuel mixture and this may often happen when changing the exhaust.
The possible solution is first to change your stock air filter by a KN or BMC one.
And second add a device that will adjust your mixture.
Of course you may try by yourself to flash or remap your stock ECU, but this is difficult and risky unless you are a brightful electronician.
The "magic" device is named as Boosterplug and is avalaible for all CBR/CBF 650 models produced before the 2021 one, and easy to install.
I have already tested it on 3 different bikes since 2017 (including my current CB650R) and I never experienced any problems at all.
I have a KN air filter and a full IXIL exhaust (XRACE, Euro4 approved)

When I had the same exhaust I've also had the exhaust tips turned black. I think it's the nature of the exhaust design. Since I've fitted the Termi, tip of the can is clean. I' wounld't worry about this, seems normal to me.

Has for the starting issues, I bet it's bad gas. I've had the same problem with SO's 500F and my 650F. I haven't done anything else but ride them and I don't have problems anymore.
