Take your time with it and be very comfortable with your new bike before trying a passenger. Nothing turns off a new passenger than a less-than smooth ride.

Get her in a comfy state of mind, completely willing to try (scared is ok) go around the block only. If that works go around two blocks, if that works 3. If she’ll do 3 and still feels comfy try a short backroad hop a mile or two only to some place she likes to go (food, shopping, whatever), kinda like a reward.

After that you should be good be to go but ride VERY conservatively until she’s ready, corners are what freaks people out and the last thing you need is someone freaking while leaned over.

Seriously, try this, it works very well. Someone told me these steps years ago, I used it several times, most recently with my wife (then girlfriend) who HATED bikes before she met me and she now pretty much won’t let me go by myself anymore!!!

That's what I did with my CB650R.
I have a Seat Cowl and therefore no room for a second person.

btw: I used the original screws.

I did the same at first (also have a CBR), then realised four of the black screws from the OEM tail fit perfectly.

One of the first things I did when I got the new bike a month ago was to remove the rear foot pegs. Originally I used the OEM bolts to plug the holes, but after scouring a few local hardware stores, I eventually found some black, M8 mushroom-head bolts that look much better.
The bike looks so much better without the rear pegs, assuming you don't ever use them of course.
Unfortunately, to pass the ITV (MoT in the UK) any bike that is homologated for two needs to be equipped to carry two, so I will have to replace them to pass the tests. But it's a 5 minute job, and the first test is 4 years away...

Ended up removing these as well since I plan to enjoy the ride alone. I did end up 3d printing some tidy bits thou and using the oem bolts.
