As Im not at the moment bothering with pillions I decided to remove the rear peg hangers. The kids have grown up and are not interested and my wife doesn’t go pillion. She actually has her own bike licence but doesn’t ride at the moment.

I looked on R&G and for about £16 they do some bolts and washers to blank off where the peg hangers go. Being the tight bloke I am I felt that was a bit much.

So I popped in to a small but well stocked local Ironmonger who sold me 4 Stainless Steel bolts and washers for £2.60. They fitted nicely and with a generous amount of anti seize copper grease they should be fine for a good few years. 2D29B901-28B8-4D05-AD55-90516240CF76.jpegAA1A210C-44AD-458C-8790-F1A8A41DD73A.jpeg53E8F1A9-4A43-4745-8DBE-75AC5704A117.jpeg

Nice job! I seriously considered removing mine but then thought their value as disk-lock storage hanger and tail end crash protection meant I’d keep them on.

Have you got a battery tender wired up on there too?

The Earle The Earle. I like your thinking regarding the pillions plugs, did similar myself.
Have a question, i see a cable in the photo, above the shock, ?
I'm currently looking for a live blank plug to connect a GPS, do you have any idea, where i'll find one?

The one I fitted to my old bike was just a 12v socket got off eBay, wired it-in with a fuse and switch directly to the battery. It worked a treat.
I have a hard wired 12v socket on this bike that was fitted by Honda.

You can have these posted for under £5, some dressing bolts with washers in the colour of your choice. They're quite smart, this is the only picture I've got of them atm. I put x4 on rear peg threads and x2 onto luggage bolts, out of interest do you guys have them on the CB650R? Can't see any on the tail.

What size bolts did you buy? Are they m8 like the cb650f?

Thanks
