Hey guys, I just picked up a 2018 cbr650 with 16,000km on the dash. It also came with a brand new set of tires (not installed)

A bit about the bike, it has a full akrapovic exhaust with a power Commander installed. Has a yoshi tail tidy, rear cowl, black Puig windscreen, cbr tank grips, aftermarket clip-ons along with grips (I'm not sure of the brand, haven't looked that closely yet) it also has an aftermarket shift light and gear indicator installed.

I'm coming to this bike from a cbr500r I rode last season and sold a few weeks ago (I still miss it, the pearl white was so nice on it) I loved the 500r but found it was just slightly underpowered. Mostly when riding with a passenger or at highway speeds.

I'm wondering if there's anything I should be on the lookout for? Also I noticed when riding the throttle grip doesn't hard stop in the off position, it continues to spin if you rotate it with little pressure. I'm sure this isn't normal, I'm just wondering if anyone knows the cause. I can post pictures and better specs of the grips and clip-ons tomorrow.

Also can anyone recommend an integrated turn signal/rear brake light combo?

Looking forward to the upcoming season and learning more about these bikes!

Welcome!!!! Probably needs a throttle adjustment, download the service manual and check out how to do it.

Enjoy the new ride!!!

Is it the throttle tube that keeps turning, or is the grip spinning on the tube?
I got to the bottom of it. The previous owner had some foam grips slipped over the actual grip. I cut the foam off and problem solved. Just got the bike road legal yesterday. Fresh tires installed. Runs like a top and so much grip!
