Hi there
I want to share my experience with you, so you don't have to repeat my agony. Also If you can help me, will be appreciated.
NOTE: If you don't have any issues and want to help with some knowledge, please go to the last part.
I have a CB650R '22 with 24000km and some "enhanced" vibrations since first service all the time. Before that, I'm sure that was a bit less.
But around 4000 up to 6000rpm, between 90 and 120kmh , the right side of the handlebar feels a heavy vibration that sleep my hand. Now, after seconds service, still trying to fix it...
Disclaimer:
- Default configuration. Just two side protectors.
- 10W30 Repsol (Honda) (If I trust the workshop).
- It happens more when the motor is hot, at 4th line of temp.
- I have a correct, relaxed grip and posture. I hold the handlebar like a very appreciated part of my body...
- I've tried another CB650R and a CBR650R. Both have similar vibrations and harmonics, of course, but not the same way exactly as mine.
- Wheels seems ok and balanced. If I press the clutch on road I can't feel any vibration.
Things I've done so far to find the cause:
- Went to two official workshops : "Everything is ok" was the answer. (I don't trust one of them) They don't tried the bike on road. Just accelerating on neutral. That way doesn't feel so bad.
- Checked as many bolts I can. On correct torque. I didn't saw anything strange.
- Checked the oil quantity. It's on range.
Things I've done for reduce the vibrations, ahead of the cause:
- I placed two heavy end bar weights from HVMP. Helped a tiny, tiny, tiny bit up to 4000, but I think it makes even worse on the critic range I mentioned. Doesn't worth it.
- I've tried grip puppies and helped a bit more, but the feel of handling a big dong doesn't feel quite nice. I lost a bit of precision.
- I've filled the handlebar with lead shot and sand. It make it worse. I thing it's because the inner weights are not isolated now. Tried with original weights and hvmp.
Things I want to try:
- I will stop pouring weight on the handlebar since it's being worse with every experiment.
- I saw two clear cases on this forums of MAP sensor cleaning and fixed the vibrations. Where is this sensor and how to clean it easy?
- I saw many cases of this problem after an oil change. I want to change the oil for a Motul.
- You think a dampered handlebar mount can be mounted on street bikes or can be dangerous? Like this.
What else I can try? I'm lost right now and my desire to take the bike has vanished.
Thank you
