So I need some help. Ive been begging for the CBR1000RR mirrors on my 650R but unable to figure out how to do it. I understand some people managed to get it on the F and l heard someone does have it on the R but personally not entirely sure how to do it. I'm kinda leaning towards doing an adapter and trying to make it work like that but l am so open to any options and theories you guys have!
I've fitted ZX10R OEM Mirrors - much easier job. I had previously used after market chinese but quality was poor! ZX OEM are excellent!

ZX10RR OEM Mirrors fitted. Subsequently replaced front indicators with flush smoked R1 side indicators. Mirrors purchased as used (zero mile) off Ebay £120.

Used waterproof auto connectors to 'Y' split the cable to feed both mirror indicators and side mirrors, using Honda indicator cable connector from Ebay for the final connection into bike loom.

No cuts made to original wiring, no holes or cuts made to the OEM fairing. Wing mirror mounting holes need to be drilled out to fit. Distance between holes on ZX10RR 48mm, distance on CBR650R 40mm, so needed to drill out all four mounting plate holes on the wing mirrors to fit.

Had originally fitted aftermarket cheap Chinese mirrors. Lots of vibration and no fold back, so decided to invest in the ZX10RR OEMs and difference in look and usability is huge!

I will see if I can find photo including the smoked side indicators and post.

awesome job! Can you send me the ebay link so I can get the info of them? £120 for a pair is such a good deal, even for the pre-owned ones.

Hate to break it to you chief but they aren’t the 1KRR mirrors...

Here you go...these are the same as the ones I fitted. As mentioned you will need to drill out the holes and also cut off the connectors extend the cable and fit the Honda connectors. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kawasaki...454593?hash=item48f922d401:g:fHsAAOSwzMFe2PUm

These are the cable connectors I bought: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CBR-500R-500F-650R-FRONT-LED-Indicator-adapters-PLUG-PLAY-Wiring-Cables/164721838169?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

All my (now) 6 indicators work perfectly however when the bike is running and I activate the hazards, they double flash. I think it maybe due to the resistance of the Aftermarket R1 flush mounts. Probably easily resolved with a new variable control LED flasher relay or even replacing the flush aftermarket with OEM.

I'm wondering if the mirrors of Zx10R 2020-21 model will fit the same way as yours :cigar:

Pretty much was the same plan l had. I bought and tried ZX10 mirrors back in 2019 but l decided to wait and see if a wrecked 2018 CBR1000 mirror would be the better way to go forward. After all the struggles l got a pair of 2021 Zx10 mirrors off a friend and l am going to install them after l get a bunch of stuff sorted. Personally l am going to block off the original indicator section and l'll make thread on that but if you don't mind messaging me so l get a few things straight with the install l would love that alonco @alonco!

Sudesh @Sudesh would this spacer from SW-motech solve the base issue? notice the instructions they fit both 650r and 600rr only difference is they come with extra spacers, see instructions: https://sw-motech.com/cosmoshop/default/artikelpdf/svl_01_501_10702_b.pdf

Sadly not mate, l thought a large spacer like that may help too but in the end it just looks too bulky and out of place with the gorgeous lines of the bike and ruins the whole aesthetic of having a nice integrated mirror and turn signal. My bikes having some parts switched so l will drill out and put my ZX10 mirrors on soon for everyone to see and follow instructions wise!

I have been thinking about doing the same as you. I havent really thought about how the connectors would work and if they are straight plug and play. The main issue I foresee is that there is no hole under the current mirror mounts for the cabling to pass through, so you will have to drill through the plastic underneath, and then through the subframe underneath that. I have yet to determine if there is enough material in the subframe to make the right sized hole for the cable to fit through. The other issue is that the Fireblade mirrors are secured with nuts, rather than the bolts just being tightened into the mounting holes. I have determined that the bolts on both have the same 40mm spacing, so if it comes to it the bolts could be cut off the Fireblade mirrors, and holes drilled through the base mount such that the original 650R mirror bolts can be used to secure them. I have noticed as well that parts of the Fireblade mirror base protrude, so some sort of spacer will need to be made to accommodate this.
I have wondered how much lower the mirrors would be once fitted and whether they would interfere with the brake and clutch levers on full lock.
Seems like a lot of work but I do like the integrated indicators in the Fireblade mirrors (I have similar setup on my GSXR750). Final step would be removal of the LED indicators and covering up the holes where they are located.
I have been reading reviews of the aftermarket Fireblade mirrors, and it seems the best are ones made by Bike-It, a lot of the copies cant be rotated back.
Hi, how are you? How are you planning to cover the holes from the indicadors in their stock position, I'm looking to do the same on my "f" but cant find any dummies to plug in the original postion.

Did you end up doing the mod? I only actually got my bike back 2 weeks ago and considering selling her and switching so l was thinking of giving up on ruining a 480$ set of mirrors

I plan on taking a chance with this once I'm ready to purchase these. I was going to cover these stock indicators with flush mounted ones from tst industries. I'll update the thread if I ever get round to it!

Sad to hear that, mate! What bike are you planning to switch to? I had a pretty serious accident early last year. Anw, I'll have a big upgrade for my bike this weekend, including the Zx10r mirrors, hope that everything will go as I expected :D

Well that's a shame about your accident mate, but l guess things happen for a reason and now you get to switch it up a little for your bike scene. Hopefully you weren't hurt too bad and fully recovered by now. I actually upgraded to an R6 2021 and had it for about a month now, was meaning to get GPJake @GPJake to maybe apply that nice 650 Alumnus tag for me since I've had the CBR650F and 2 CBR650Rs for sometime haha.

I will probably be selling those mirrors to anyone in this forum if they're interested and within Australia!
