Happy New Year to you all (adjust as required for timezone :D).
Hope the next brings you miles of fun on your 650 and general happiness and good health.

Due to an ordering mix-up early on during Covid lockdown I've got some spare parts left over from doing my valve clearances.
These are all genuine Honda OEM parts, still sealed in their bags. All prices mentioned are correct as of today from Fowlers UK website.
I have 4 off 12395-MBW-003...
While the bike is in pieces getting a face-lift, I decided to clean the headers properly ... well, it has been 5 years!
Here's a reference picture from 2018 (and no, they hadn't got any cleaner since then!)
Got some stuff recommended to me called Dr. Downpipe:
£20 for a gift box which has...
So started to prep for the respray. Already booked in, just waiting on the call to take the panels over.
Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile she's in full street fighter mode 😂

So, I'm going to replace my 2014 silver swingarm with a 2018 black one.
Reason: it's all @Entropy 's fault. :D
So far, I've purchased the Abba fixings to hold the bike without a swingarm, and a used swingarm from ebay.
I'll post updates.
Has anyone done this before and would be willing...
Just did mine (with help from a friend who knows what he's doing).
4 hours start to finish. Oh my god what a pain in the backside!
Why Honda thought it was a good idea to have the rocker cover seal attach to the cover and not the block is beyond me.
Anyway... All done. Looks like I'll need...
I'm sure we've all had them.
Today's was on the homeward leg of a spirited, but not offensive, ride on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon.
Suddenly, along a well known local biker road (the A32) traffic halts. So I think "balls" and reach for the satnav (as I was stationary) to work a new...

I fancied upgrading the brake lines for a few reasons:
1) Had a bonus from work burning a hole in my pocket
2) They look better than stock
3) I haven't taken the brake system apart yet - and I wanted get in there!
4) They might improve performance, but I doubt I'll notice much (I don't race -...
All,
@baugustine is coming over from the US on March 25th (Sunday). He's invited myself and anyone else who'd like to pop in to meet up for a few drinks.
We'll be meeting at approximately 5pm at the White Lion Inn, Fritwell Rd, Bicester, OX27 7NZ
They are open until 9pm. For those who can...
In honour of those who have once owned a 650F, but moved on to pastures new the for staff decided that a title/banner be created especially:
"650F Alumnus"
This is reserved for those that have experience on the 650F, and moved on to another bike but remain active on the forum to share their...
So, like @Duncan, my bike started to misfire when out in the rain.
I thought it would be the (rather exposed) coil packs. Wrong.
Suppression cap on cylinder #3 was damaged and arcing to the rocker cover. Parts on order from fleabay.
Steps to diagnose: Remove right hand fairing. Start bike and...
This site needs to have SEO friendly links (like the "old" forums).
i.e. NOT:

Should be a simple case of configuring url rewrite (assuming the forum software is any...
Adjusting the gear lever height is one thing that will make your CB(R)650 feel much nicer to ride.
Here's how you do it... due to me having a massive argument with the BB code implementation on the forum post editor, it's a webpage.
