The gixxer shock is quite a hefty, fully prepped unit ? Wouldn't you be better trying to source a set from the old 600, the hornet thing, if it's only aesthetics you're after and not worried about adjustments ?

As long as you can apply it, when you need it and it works, doesn't matter a hoot if it's bent :)

If it was stolen and recovered before you bought it, it may be a dodgy accident damaged rebuild ? You know the kind of thing, light damage, cheap and repairable, Ebay for 2nd hand parts, not put back together properly before resale at market value. Warranty shouldn't be affected at all....unless...
