What an amazing feeling.. after 2 years of trying.. Feels like a hero.. Very addictive.. Now part of my motorcycle journey is achieved..
Not an expert here cause I only managed to get my left knee down a few times (still trying right knee)..

If you are interested here is "How to get your knee down on a motorbike by MCN". They are using CBR650R. All the best..!!

Great job and your body positioning looks very good!!! Work on keeping your head in line with your spine and you’ll be a master at cornering anything that’s thrown at you :) This is an excerpt from the article you linked that sums up why I’m such a track proponent:

“The most unexpected outcome of the day – and the biggest reason I’d recommend attending – was the way I felt riding on the road afterwards. Newly-aware of how far the bike could be pushed in a turn and feeling more comfortable moving my weight around, I found I was taking corners more quickly than before – yet felt miles away from the limit and with dramatically more control, like I had all the time in the world to assess the road ahead.”

baugustine @baugustine and I were were texting the other day a bit after he sent me a video of a 650F chasing a 600RR around and I took a snapshot of the video showing the poor RR riders body position is in. While he’s close to dragging a knee, he’s got the bike leaned way farther than it needs to be and he’s almost out of control. It’s hard to see from my screenshot but his head and shoulders are still over the handlebars so he’s actually forming a triangle with his hips, head and seat. A good position, like victorkkq @victorkkq is getting, is the angle of the bike is parallel to the angle of your spine and your head and shoulders should be directly above it. I was taught to start with the crack of my butt on the edge of the seat, sit straight up, put your head where your mirror is and go from there. Great starting place to get your knee down.

It is fun, isn’t it? :)

Here’s that video miweber929 @miweber929 and I were discussing:

two of my neighbors, and 8 us of total are going to Buttonwillow on Nov 9 for a track day. Will be my first on a bike (I’ve ran that track years ago with my SVT Cobra, but that’s 4 wheels not 2 😎). Very excited to work on body positioning.

miweber929 miweber929 Wow.. thanks for the good words.. This is gold.. will definitely work on my head in line with my spine, I need to get use to seeing the flat road 45% which is kind of weird right now from the rider's perfective.. Need to look further ahead..

Yes.. it is super fun and addictive! It is also so satisfying to see my tyres maxed out till the edges..

If your tire is looking like that from street riding it’s time to hit the track :)

miweber929 miweber929 Last week I did what you to told me during the canyon run.. The result is magical.. Instantly I am able to achieve stability. I can be abit more aggressive on throttle during mid and even more on the exit corner.. Knee down comes much easier now.. thanks for the feedback.. :)

😍 14 mins and only 5 vehicles, 3 of which were parked and 2 in opposite direction. MC heaven. Where is this?
Awesome video...nice spirited run. Would be even better without music, just my opinion.

Things I've learned:
1. Knee-down can be achieve at low speed; as low as 40kmph.
2. Track is the place to be; free my mind and much safer.
3. Once able to achieve knee-down constantly, the excitement went away.. Tame me from riding aggressively in public roads.
4. Knee sliders are costly.
5. Still need lot of improvement on body position.
