CB650R Traction Control Issue

G'day guys!


I've got a 2019 CB650R which I have had since new. It's been a fantastic bike while I was finishing off my time on my provisional licence, but recently I have removed the LAMs restriction via new open velocity stacks and a ECU flash. Now the traction control (Torque control) doesn't work at all. The TCS light is solid orange regardless of speed and the TCS OFF light isn't luminated. If I hold the button to turn it off the TCS OFF light will come on. On slippery surfaces TCS doesn't engage (Wet roads, gravel).

Things I've tried:

• Hard reset of TCS (Seen in another thread)
• Checked all wire connections that was touched to remove the restriction
• Disconnected/reconnect battery to see if it was just a gremlin
• Reloaded stock tune and then back to the current tune and tested both to see if it worked

Not that the TCS not working is a big issue, its just the light that seems to annoy me knowing its there. More thinking the future when I move it on to another rider.

There was a recent similar thread following the same issue. Aussie LAMS bike gets ECU flash, then TC issues.

Unfortunately, I think the Aussie bikes either require a really professional flash, or a proper Dyno Tune.
I got my 21' Euro5 650R Dynotuned and have had zero issues with the traction control so far.
Flashes seem kinda dodgy IMO.

I had a look at the thread, that one is for check engine light. I threw a DT on it to see if it came up with anything and it was blank.

Probably just going to run it by the local Honda to see what they think they can do
