If the site is still online but it's just the domain that's gone, then perhaps it's still possible to figure out what the IP address is of the website? Then you can access it by IP rather than domain name.

Other than that, maybe http://web.archive.org still offers a way to retrieve some content?

IP is 95.142.152.194. Doesn't work either. Hosting is expired.
The web archive link is interesting. Will explore further...

No, but I'm never too old to learn.
I used many programming and scripting languages in my life.
Databases is not my expertise, but I'm also no complete noob in that area.
It all depends on how open Xenforo is and what their API offers.
Would have to study it a little before I can answer your question with certainty.

Tried to get some more pages via web.archive.org, but it looks like only the root page is available. Bummer...
If we had the original site still running, it is very likely I could extract all messages with the posting-date and poster-name connected, nicely organized in separate files and folders.
Importing in Xenforo would still be a challenge with scripting, but it certainly could be done manually over the course of a year or so (Maybe a couple of mods could help as well to spread the work-load).
But it's all hypothetical now :(.
