CBR650R Picking up on 16/11/21

Been biking on and off for years, currently have a NC750, sold my CBR500R to buy a one year old CBR650R which I pick up on Tuesday. I will at some point ask about crash bars and maybe other things like centre stand and spot lights.
I live in Cheshire and ride out at least once a week if I am not working.
Looking forward to finding out more about these fantastic bikes.

Welcome! My wife has a cbr500, while a nice machine you will notice a big difference. The engine is so smooth, where the 500 runs out of breath, the 650 is waking up, very different delivery.

there is more noticeable weight in turning from a stop. The driving position is way more committed, you are forward in a semi athletic position.

Welcome!!! Lots of info here already so be sure to search around for answers to the common questions you’ll be looking into. Just know overall there’s very little difference between the ‘14 650F and the ‘22 650R so what applies to one will most likely apply to the other.

As far as I know a centre stand can't be fitted to these 650 Hondas. I had to get an Abba stand for my CB650F.

Hi Ian and Henty, I'm based in Manchester but my parents live in Goostrey so know Cheshire well and I quite often travel through Knutsfotd - maybe I'll see you around some time - watch out for a 2019 CBR650R in Gunpowder Black ridden by an old man!

Hey Hooch, think I remember seeing you riding down towards Ollerton a couple weeks back. If not you then someone on a black 650R! Thanks for the shout and I'm sure we'll bump into each other soon
