The rubber around the wiring is the seal. Proper way to deal is remove the cover, clean up the surfaces and reseal with a small amount of proper liquid sealant (link to service manual is in the resources section). Quick and dirty way is to leave it all together, clean up the oil and put a little sealant around the outside. It’s not a pressurized seal, and there’s not a ton of oil behind it so a little sealant should stop it from weeping.
