Hi everyone,

I found this forum because I wanted to know more about the CBR650R and after a while here it is my new bike.

This is my second bike. The fisrt one was a keeway RKF so this is a big step. Already did 100 km and I'm really enjoying it.

Still waiting for the sports pack but I love how it looks right now.

Thank you all!

You chose the best colour :)

Ahahah... Indeed. I sent mails to all retailers in Portugal asking if anyone had the black matte because they are sold out. Hopefully, there was one not too far from me +/- 60 km ready to be sold.

Now I'm waiting for the extras. Yours looks amazing!

Thank you all!

Already did 500 km. Amazing. I'm just loving it. Let's see if extras come before the first maintenance service.

Updated the first post because the picture was too large ahah...

Here is a new picture. Always on dirt I know, but I swear that this is only a viewpoint by the road...

Gonna be in Portugal in November. Without a bike sadly seeing these vistas.
This one is in Sintra that is +/- 40 km from Lisbon. If you go to Lisbon you should go there. Is near Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe. On Sundays it's a meeting point for bikers.

Went to Boca do Inferno a couple years ago and also saw a good amount of bikers there. Maybe I'll rent a bike in November if the weather allows.

Well... The weather didn't help this week. Great summer that we are having here. The rain stopped this afternoon and I went for a ride. 530 km now. I want to do the first service this month but next week I'll be on vacations so I dunno if I can do it. Here is another "Vista" as beneweis @beneweis said ahah

The first service is done and the extras are all fit. I paid 102€. I taught that would be more expensive. I think that the bike looks better now but my "biggest" fear about the wheel rim stickers was confirmed... I got the straight-line ones. I would prefer the dashed ones but well...

I like those stickers actually.

Any particular reason you keep the passenger foot pegs?

When I arrived home was a bit late so I didn't change anything. Maybe today I'll take it. But sometimes my sister comes with me for a ride so I have to see if it's worthy to take them.

I would like to change the levers. Does anyone know how hard it is? I saw a video where the brake lever was ok to replace but the clutch was a bit tricky and I don't want to mess around...

Levers aren't tricky to fit, so long as you get the correct ones for the bike. Yes, the clutch lever is a little harder to fit as you have to slot the end piece of the cable into the lever which requires slackening of the cable. Therefore you have to remember what setting it was at once installed.
