Since I got my ‘14 cbr650fa I’ve had lots of idle issues. At first it would idle all over the place up to 3k, I replaced cracked hoses leading to map sensor and it dropped down to idling at 2k. When map is unplugged and running on preset airflow it idles perfectly and has 0 issues. I replace the map sensor with a new one (second hand wasn’t confident enough to dish out $200 for an oem one) and it does the same thing!!! (Idles at 1800 which is a bit lower than with the original MAP but still too high)
What are the chances I got another dodgy one?? At this point I’m just going to pull it out and run on the preset airflow as I’m about to go insane! Are there any other issues that could cause this apart from map? If it was a vacuum leak or something wouldn’t it also affect idle when running on the ecus preset airflow?? Is there at least a way to do a map sensor delete without the engine light as I’m losing my fkn mind!!!
