I have a couple of MM left on the edge of the tyre and I too have managed to catch the foot peg and my foot on the floor so I was wondering this myself but it looks like you’ve done a proper job there!

If you’re scraping that much you need to start leaning off the bike and work on proper body position.

Time for a track/riding school, you’ll be surprised how much lean you can get and how much easier riding fast will be with a little instruction.

Dam,you must have great tires and great roads! Every time i try leaning into corners, the car or truck
coming from the opposite direction wants to pass a car and they never wait when they see a motorclcle on the
opposite side, so leaning into corners over here is very dangerous for me over here.

It was done at a track day with instruction and corect body posotion 😉
But allways looking to improve.

ewganhoff, The standard d222 tires were really not so bad. I had only 2 slips on mine and it was in bad weather.I also
got about 14000k out of them. I replaced the with Metzlers roadtec 01 which are great tires wet or dry and long lasting.

Good to hear, I’m surprised at the lack of lean angle the bike has when leaning off. I’m by no means a racer (anymore) but can provide a quick pace when needed and can scrape the pegs if I don’t move my body but even two up if I move around and get my butt off the seat it’ll get close but not hit. I’ve got a peg from my old 929 somewhere overhead in the garage that’s worn just a bit more than your is in the pic. The coach pulled me advised after I wore both feelers off that lap and told me where and how to move my body, made a big difference in my riding.

What’s your suspension situation, still running stock? What’s your weight? It may be time to upgrade, the Ohlins setup is pretty reasonably priced and works very well. I’d also look at some rearsets in the near future if you’re going to be running that pace.

Nice!!!

I’d agree, the stock tires aren't horrible like most of Honda’s OEM rubber is but you will find a nice upgrade when the time comes.

Hog, 929, thanks for the reassurance. I haven't had any problems in my first 1000 miles.

The stock IRC tyres on my pcx125 were downright dangerous, especially with the already dangerous linked brakes. The rear brake lever also operated one of 3 pistons in the front caliper. It meant that when I was using both brakes, I could never tell how much of the breaking force I was putting through the front contact patch. It just completely robbed the feel. This wasn't an issue in the dry, but in the wet, I ended up breaking with one foot out to catch the almost inevitable slide.

Still stock.
Rear sets will only help with the pegs but not the exhust and faring.
I was catching the exshust on one corner
The top 90° was hitting it at around 150 kph (90 mph) (was not looking at speedo on track saw it later on gopro)

It looks like the exhaust cover and mounting bolt are what's dragging so an aftermarket pipe may help that issue along with the rearsets. Where on the fairing are you dragging?

I'd start looking into a suspension upgrade or you'll eventually hit hard parts that will lift your back wheel off the ground and bring you down. Ask me how I know about that....... :(

Looks like a nice track.

On track I scraped the pegs. Stops when you hang off even more. This bike has low foot rests compared to the 'normal' sport bikes that i pitted next to (600rr). Not really designed for on the limit track riding in my humble opinion. Consider a cheap track bike perhaps?
