Hi.

The clutch cable is clipped to the bottom of the airbox, however the cable can be unclipped and replaced without lifting the tank/airbox.

Having recently replaced mine (after 11 years and 40k miles it was straightforward.

I recommend running ptfe based lubricant through the cable before fitting.

Process is simple enough...
1) slacken all adjusters both ends all the way
2) unhook cable at the top end
3) while holding the clutch arm forwards, unlook the lower end, gently allowing the clutch arm to move all the way to the left
4) remove lower cable retaining nut if you have one
5) unclip cable from airbox underside
6) remove old cable
7) insert new cable through guide on the headstock, follow path of old cable through to the clutch area
8) put everything back in the reverse of steps 1-6

Adjust freeplay to spec 10-19mm (check the manual)

Apply spray white grease to lever/cable area and clean up excess.
